Can anyone help please!

Hi Everyone,

I have not been given a diagnosis of IBS but recently started having symptoms which point in that direction. just over a week ago I started getting little bits of bowel movements with mucus and mucus on it's own, this coincided with a bad cold I have had and since coughing up mucus and swallowing it I have had the anal mucus...can this happen??

I don't think that swallowing mucus will cause you to have mucus in your stools. However, things like colds can cause our guts to play up which may account for what you are experiencing.
