Hi. I have so been suffering from severe pain across my abdomen and right hand side for the last 4 days. I am getting through the day with buscopan and paracetamol. This morning I woke up with numbness and tingling in my right hand. I have never had this before and was wondering if anyone else had and if its related to the ibs. Many thanks.

Numbness in right hand
No, numbness and tingling in your hand wouldn't be related to IBS unless that's caused by spinal problems, then the two would be connected although not in the way that you mean.
Are you sure you didn't just sleep in an awkward position - with your arm underneath you for instance - and that's what's caused the problem?
When I get a flare up which is every day; my hands get stiff and my feet get numb. I think I told all of you that my OB/GYN did a Laparoscopy, and found out I have Adhesions on both sides of my colon.
Thanks both of you. It's so nice to be able to chat with people in the same position. Hope you are both having a good day.
I often have what you are describing, numbness and tingling in my hand. I sometimes have to hang it out of the bed and shake it to get feeling back. Would be interested to know if it had any connection with my ibs
The numbness and tingling you experience might be due to carpal tunnel , ask for a referral for nerve conduction tests .
