Diverticulitis Flair Up

I am a 64 year old female and have suffered with IBS and Diverticular disease since 2005 .2008 I had an abscess in my sigmoid so admitted to hospital. Not on antibiotics via drip only oral. I have now had weeks of pain and feeling so poorly , been on Augmentam 500mg x two courses had a clear week only for it to return. I am now on Metronidazole 500mg and Cefalexon 500mg plus Mintec (peppermint) capsules not much change yet still feel poorly .Has anyone on here had Mintec and has made tummy pains worse. I have now taken a months Mintec 2x3times a day.I am new to the site.
