Do bisphosphonates increase pain?
Since then Orchiectomy and
Zytiga
has done a great job of getting my PSA down to 0.01, for several months now. I have significant bone and nerve pain, under control with opioids Fentanyl plus Morphine, and Pregabalin. Recently I started with once a week oral meds Risedronate 35mg.

In Need of a Trainer
(Redmond) It is clear my husband needs more exercise as his treatment of Lupron,
Zytiga
, Prednisone are causing bone loss (30% loss since November 2020). Internist has recommended Fosamax, but the side affects are daunting. Would like to see if exercise will help without the drugs.

Timing of Radiation treatment after starting ADT
From the few studies I have seen the sweet spot ( for maximum shrinkage of the prostate) seems to be 12 to 24 weeks after starting on ADT ( I am on Lupron and
Zytiga
). I want to hit the cancer with radiation when it is at it's weakest.

Lutetium Therapy: how effective is it?
Flr a while , his PSA was controlled, but he developed resistance to
Zytiga
and his meds were changed to XTandi. He developed resistance to Xtandi too and he switched back to
Zytiga
, until December 2020 when his PSA spiked again to 700+ , even going as high as 1000+.

Handling Cognitive issues assuming from Hormone Therapy
My husband has been on Lupron since 12/2016 then
Zytiga
till 5 months ago! Just had 4th treatment of Xofigo! his memory recall is not what it was. Gets some confusion when doing tasks! I don’t mention it now as he got upset when I tried to help! Do men understand this is happening or not!

Any Cons to Orchiectomy?
Currently on Eligard &
Zytiga
and strongly considering an Orchiectomy. Is there any benefit to Eligard over surgery and testicle removal? I understand all of the psychological aspects, I'm interested in any treatment advantage between long term LHRH agonists vs testicle removal.

It’s back… recurrent PSA after primary and adjuvant treatment
Prior treatments included RALP, EBRT, and 18 months Lupron +
Zytiga
. Perhaps if they can see something clear another radiation zap is possible. Wondering if this counts as a one-month doubling rate, which I gather isn’t a very good prognosis.

Firmagon and Zytiga
Considering going off
Zytiga
. Also any thoughts on Orgovyx vs Firmagon. I do not like present side effects: hot flashes, fatigue and tiredness.

Bipolar Androgen Therapy (BAT) update (with olaparib)
Here are the results: 30 heavily-pretreated men who were mCRPC and who have progressed on either
Zytiga
or Xtandi, received BAT and the PARP inhibitor olaparib.

My Oligometastatic Journey Continues…
When it reached about 1.8, my oncologist added
Zytiga
. PSA immediately went back to undetectable. In the summer of 2018, I had a prostatectomy at MD Anderson. They were hoping for a durable remission or a cure.

Axumin vs. PSMA
I’m on
Zytiga
and Lupron 90-day injection. After several months of PSA rising from 0.24 to 0.36, my PSA on July 27 dropped to 0.17. Lowest ever since diagnosis. We’ll see what October brings. I’m Gleason 9 (5+4).

Health insurance when retiring
I am taking
Zytiga
, pretty expensive; and who knows what the future holds. What Medicare options are the best for this kind of care; plan A, B, D? All the above? Explanations? Thanks for your input.

Rising PSA and want to be the best advocate!
He cannot have the prostate bed radiated again, so I'm wondering what the best options are for additional medications when that time presents itself...
Zytiga
, Xofigo, Provenge, Jevtana, etc.? I've always been his biggest cheerleader and he is the greatest warrior I've ever known in my life.

Abiraterone and heart issues
I know that
Zytiga
can cause other heart issues and I'm wondering if anyone has heard there could be a correlation? Damn, if it isn't one thing it's another, right?

Anger and depression
I am married, 58 years old on Lupron/
Zytiga
. My best friend is a 36 year old female that I originally met as a coworker. We travel together and often times share a bed (no sex, purely platonic).
