Zoladex

I had my first Zoladex injection a week ago and was also given Evorel 50 patches and Utrogestan to take to assist with the side affects. I am in agony! The joint/bone pain is getting worse each day and I’m totally shattered. Is the pain from the zoladex or is it from the Add back?

The zoladex would be a test to see if pain stops and if it worked then they would remove the remaining ovary. I’m 48 and have 2 children (15 and 12) so don’t plan to have any more.

Hi has anyone tried zoladex to shrink severe endo but found that they’re still in pain and not responding to it?

Has anyone switched from Zoladex to Lupron? And what side effects do you have from the Lupron? My Dr. Just called and said my insurance company is no longer covering Zoladex so they are switching me to Lupron. TIA

Bounced between Zoladex/combined pill with no relief, then bam, deaths door! Turns out I have DIE widespread, stage 4+ in all the worst places… Well, I shouldn’t be under Gyneacology, I should be under oncology and endocrinology!.. To be fair, my consultant is an oncologist! A **** one though!

How does / did anyone cope with the insomnia on zoladex? Ive been awake since 2am on Christmas day and this getting ridiculous, every day I am awake from 2/3 am. Have n problem getting to sleep at all. Just getting past 2am Any tips or advice greatly received. Happy Christmas everyone Abby

Good afternoon everyone, So i was initially on Decapeptyl injections and due to collapsing twice and causing facial injuries and being unconscious for a long period of time, it was thought that i may be allergic to them so i was swapped to using Zoladex injections once a month instead.

Hi all, So after being on Zoladex injections for a year I finally had my laparoscopy surgery. No endometriosis was found during this except for tilted womb. Mirena coil inserted. I’m really upset that I’ve been given no diagnosis or real answer to the horrendous pain I’ve been in.

Unfortunately, this year my PSA again began to rise so was put onto Xtandi as well as the Zoladex. My last visit with the oncologist was pleasing as the PSA has dropped. The side effects of the Zoladex and Xtandi have been moderate with the worst being fatigue, weight gain and sleep pattern.

My final (of 3 years) shot of Zoladex is due in Feb ‘22. It’s wonderful to post a same old, same old, repetitive post! Long may it continue 😁 Hugh

I live in the south east of the U.K. previously someone posted the U.K. second line treatment from NICE after Ibrance / letrozle. I can not seem to find it, Would anyone have that article again, as the NICE website does not seem up to date. They removed pathways yesterday ! Thanks and hugs all

Given the large tumour size, doctor wanted him to be on neoadjuvant ADT (Zoladex injection every 3 months + daily casobit. He's been on it for 6 months now, with minimal side effects (just mild hot flashes occasionally).

Note: ibrance 125 / letrozole for 37 months, xgeva and zoladex.

Hi everyone So I’m on my 3rd private gynaecologist and he recommended that I have the zoladex injection for 3 months to see if it works for me? Anyone else have any experiences with this and does it work for them? Thankyou everyone 😌

I have been on Firmagon (Degarelix) for 6 months now & have had success with it bringing the PSA down from 18.6 to 0.7 & now the ONC wants to change to Zoladex but am worried about different side effects. Is there any worse side effects?

I have have had 2 laparoscopy excisions over the years and have tried Zoladex and merina coil . Unfortunately nothing has really helped long term term. I have serve endometriosis and have anterior and posterior comportment endometriosis and a rectal nodule.

Hi everyone, 9 months into Zoladex treatment for endo. I started bleeding heavily with severe pelvic pain both requiring hospital admission. Has anyone else ever took a period whilst on Zoladex? Consultant said it was very rare this happened to me. Thanks in advance , Caitlin x
