Hello pretty ladies 🌺 I hope you are spending a relaxed Sunday. Please I need a solution. I am having a cough at specific times, right after eating and I am sitting up. If I'm standing it doesn't happen to me. If I have a coughing fit and drink water, it goes away. When I get in the car, I immediately start coughing. I tried taking omeprazole thinking that it was reflux not improving at all, I took anti-allergy overnight and there was no improvement. I don't have a cough at night. But I don't know what else to do. In last week's pet scan everything was stable. Nothing in organs. The doctor says it could be the ibrance but we don't want to change this medicine while it is still working. Thanks for your comments.
Note: ibrance 125 / letrozole for 37 months, xgeva and zoladex.

Hi!Are you sure you're drinking enough water? Perhaps the standing vs. sitting vs in-the-car difference is a co-incidence? I find with these drugs I have to drink LOTS of water (I drink 1-2 full glasses when I take them) plus I drink regularly throughout the day. If I don't drink enough I always know it because I can't stop having to clear my throat!
So try drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning before you have anything else. Then drink a glass at least every 1 -1 1/2 hrs. Ways to help make all this more of a habit are to drink a full glass right before each meal, have a drink right before you leave the house, and before your coffee if you drink that. I hope your problem is as simple as this!
Yes, I agree drinking water is very important. Since I started drinking lots of water my bladder infections stopped. So I think water is very important and maybe helps us heal too! Happy holidays - hugs Marlene
I have been on Ibrance for over two years and I have done a lot of coughing - mostly when I start to eat. However, lately I don't cough as much. I guess I am adjusting to the Ibrance. I have also had scans in October that don't show any sign of my cancer so perhaps I am healing. But I am still taking my Ibrance and Letrozole on the 21 days on 7 day off schedule. My oncologist wants me to keep on the drug regime. My next scans are in late March. If my scans are still clear I am going to ask my oncologist if I can go off of my drugs. I haven't had too many side effects with Ibrance and Letrozole. Allthough my hair is thin and horrible. However, like I mentioned I did a lot of coughing and my feet were often numb. My feet are also getting much better and I take some vitamins from Costco called Nature's Bounty. It might be helping my hair a wee bit.
Yes, Ibrance and Letrozole seem to have helped me. I pray for all of us and hope we all heal. Our bodies want to heal and perhaps we will find a way. Happy holidays - hugs Marlene
Hi, I am on my 21st cycle of Ibrance and Letrozole since 12/2019. My Mets are in the right lung, pleura, and intrathoracic lymph node, the cancer is stable but I also get those coughing fits. I get it at random times. There for a while, I could only talk for a few minutes and I would start coughing where i could not continue the conversations. That particular time lasted like a month. Then a few months ago I ended up with pneumonia. I hardly had cough then but lots of low oxygen levels and long-winded for the simplest of things. Not sure if they are connected or not. I am constantly drinking water, but perhaps I needs more. I cough when I am eating, can't have a good laugh cause for sure the cough will be choking me. I have seen been seen by Pulmonologist and an ENT. Supposedly all tests come out normal. So that cough remains a mystery. Good luck on your journey. Please if you find a solution, let us know. Sometimes telling our drs what others are experiencing helps.
