Zoladex

Anyone had this on Zoladex? I’m on month 2, with add back HRT and I can’t take it. I’ve managed all the crappy side effects so far but the past few days I’m in agony, my hip and back are in so much pain. I just collapsed walking to the bathroom, and couldn’t get up from the floor.

I am currently on zoladex which is helping with the pain/bleeding but I don't know if this will be a long term solution. I was wondering if anyone has had a hysterectomy including bowel resection and could tell me how they found it.

I went on 9 month Triptorelin injections( GNRH like lupron Zoladex etc) and 6 months on add back therapy and birth control pills after having a major surgery last year to remove Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, cysts adhesions etc.

I have been on Zoladex this last 6 months & have a PSA of 1.03 now, coming off Firmagon before that. Now the MO advises a 3 month break & then start Darolutamide tablets. Thanks for any input.

So far I have had 3 monthly zoladex injections and currently on day 8 of period number 3 within that timeframe.

I then ended up back in hospital again in August after another massive flair of pain was given an injection of Zoladex (another due this month) My question is, is it normal to basically always be in pain? Some days are better but some days are so bad I can barely move.

What's everyone's experience with zoladex? Especially with bowel endo. Ive been offered it I'm only 22 and not sure if i should. I'm due for laparoscopy this year and would like to feel my best I know everyone is different. Any advice is much appreciated hope everyone is well.

Hi I'm on my 4th prostap injection under a proper endo clinic now, i was on zoladex.Is it normal to get breakthrough bleeding and pain the week before my next injection is due?

having had 6 four weekly Zoladex implants I then opted for the 12 week version the last two times - now my question of you my fellow travellers is ….. do you experience an increase of side effects for the few weeks after the 12 week implant and then they reduce to a less noticeable level ?

I’m getting t my first Zoladex injection today. The doctor said I can’t take HRT with it because the whole point of Zoladex is that I have no hormones causing endo. I read here that many of you got HRT with Zoladex and I’m confused...

Just wondering when did your cycles return back to normal after stopping GNRH injections (zoladex etc)? I’m only a few days after the 28 days mark so not sure what to expect.

Zoladex injections. Placental ablation and sterilisation. I had both a total hysterectomy and both ovaries removed in 2012 after years of severe endometriosis, recurrent ovarian cysts (some diagnosed as being borderline) and chronic pelvic pain which spanned for many years.

2) Are those fluctuations in the level of testosterone normal for someone being on Zoladex for several years? Does it lose its effectiveness with time? Thank you!

I had been on Zoladex, HRT and mini pill for 16 months so haven't bleed probably since then however during surgery he placed a coil and I've stopped with all the other forms.

Hello, I am on my second lot of Zoladex injections whilst waiting for surgery, I have been on them for 11months now which scares me a little as I know they are only licensed for 6 months but having such a long break from periods has been incredible!

Hi all, Has anyone had eating disorder traits alongside treatment (zoladex and tibolone) for endometriosis? I had keyhole surgery in July and have been on the zoladex implant alongside tibolone to force a temporary menopause.

I am wondering how and if GnRH medications like Zoladex impact the ACTH production and if the activity of the adrenal production of adrenal androgens feeds the prostate cancer cells independently of the LH / testosterone route.

I had my first zoladex injection on the 30th august. Been taking tibolone hrt everyday. I don’t know what to expect really but already I’m having loads of symptoms. Did anyone else feel absolutely rubbish a week into it? My head is absolutely banging today. And just feel completely wiped out.

I'm hopefully going in for a Laparoscopy later this month so fingers crossed that will help, also the surgeon wants to fit a coil so will be able to stop Zoladex, HRT and the mini pill.
