hi! I had my first zoladex injection on the 30th august. Been taking tibolone hrt everyday. I don’t know what to expect really but already I’m having loads of symptoms. Did anyone else feel absolutely rubbish a week into it? My head is absolutely banging today. And just feel completely wiped out.
Any reassurance or tips appreciated 😊

I’m just on my 2nd injection now. I found once I had enough tibolone in my system as well it eased/settled down. I have also been getting lots of headaches, and feel more foggy and in my feelings! But I’m also experiencing a reduction in pain which is amazing. I think the first 2 weeks while your body is switching off oestrogen production were the worst, so hopefully it’s going to get better!
Yeah I’m thinking I just got to ride it out until my body settles and gets used to it! I have also been told to take my contraceptive pill on top of everything for contraception? Not sure if this is ok or not? Or adding more hormones to the mix 🙈😂
I'm having my 3rd zoladex next week I was hesitant to start the hrt straight away but have started it now because menopausal symptoms were awful. Hope you feel better soon! Haven't notice a difference in pain if not worse. But don't have periods.
Hi Lovethemoon, you aren't alone! I felt awful for about 10 days after the first one, but then all of a sudden I felt better. By the time I got to the second monthly injection I felt better than I had in months. I think it's probably the sudden change to hormones.
I've been lucky, been on it 6 months now and had no menopause symptoms so haven't had any HRT yet. I have to start that when I have injection number 7 though. Maybe I had a lucky escape as only had Zoladex to contend with though!
Can you speak to your hospital team? Could be the HRT isn't right for you or the dose needs adjusting
