Help...dazed, confused and increasingly desperate
My FT4 is quite low too, so I'm not sure about that, although I read that you need
zinc
to convert and mine is very low despite being on 50mg supplement for over 6 months... she thinks that this may be a gut absorption issue and that I should see a gastroenterologist as well.

Zinc supplement
What's the best form of
zinc
to take, there seem to be so many. And when is the best time to take it? I take most of my supplements together with my evening meal which probably isn't the best way to do it. Thanks

I take
zinc
and a probiotic. I am a 65 year old woman who weighs 178. I drink at least 64 ounces of water daily. I ride my exercise bike at least 4X per week but not real energetically. I get enough sleep. I completely gave up alcohol. I sometimes eat a Greek yogurt.

Zinc and Selenium
Got my blood test results for
zinc
and selenium today. Both are close to the lower end range, but still within normal. Shall I supplement or leave it there? I read contractionary studies. Any advice or even evidence?

horizontal dents on fingernails
l heard it could be an iron deficiency or a
zinc
deficiency. I also have experienced a lot of hair loss recently too. I had covid back in April 2020 which brought on a lot of other horrible symptoms - long covid- for many months after this.
