Asthma and new puppy
I'm 37 and have hayfever for close to 20 years. A week ago we got a puppy and almost immediately I had a strong reaction to it. I was hoping it was just a coincidence and it was just my regular hayfever. It got worse and I've ended up on steroids and been given an inhaler as my peak flow is about half

Undiagnosed as yet
Hi, I am a mid 50’s female and diagnosed from childhood with asthma that became brittle asthma from my 40’s. I was under a specialist centre 9 years ago when I was in and out of hospital every 2 weeks for 6 months with only being able to take small breaths. It feels like there is a concrete bandage tightly

I often feel short of breath, however when I check my oxygen it reads 97-99 and my peak flow is normal. I do have anxiety disorder, so I'm wondering if that could be the culprit and wether or not I should worry about this. For reference ok 20 years old w no health issues besides asthma and anxiety. Appreciate

Adult on-set Asthma at 23!
Hi all, I’m new here, so nice to meet y’all! The past 6 weeks I had been experiencing chest pain, particularly whilst laying down in bed and taking deep breaths. I finally saw my GP who suspects I have asthma, he said he’s 98% certain after listening to my chest and seeing a few days of my peak flow

Newly diagnosed feeling confused and afraid, it’s been a hard 6 months.
I don’t know where to start.... September 2018 I had pneumonia, the paramedics came out and thought it was pleurisy, I had a fast heartbeat, high Temperature, rapid and noisy breathing, I was put on 2 different nebulisers, I refused a hospital visit due to being a lone parent of a lad with autism. Feeling very Foolish
I did my peak flow on Saturday morning and it was 450 usual 500. Same evening, then Sundays and Monday morning. Then my voice at lunchtime started disappearing and chest got a little tight?! Peak flow still 450. Rang and got a telephone consultation and was hoping offered a nurse practitioner appointment

Peakflow - improvement? Response to Spiromax
Hope you're all having good day :-) You've all been so helpful as I've been going through the am I/aren't I asthmatic phase... So, over the last month I've had an inconclusive spirometry test (GP says it's because I was well on the day), and clear chest x-rays. Went back to the GP last week fully expecting

Constant pressure to change medication
Well, have just endured another annual review, with a nurse (not an asthma nurse), pressing for me to change to another treatment, ie combined inhaler. Then took my blood pressure which was sky high (well, it would be , wouldn't it ?) One, I was given an appointment with a nurse I didn't want to see

Newly diagnosed
Good morning everyone. I was diagnosed with asthma last winter when I had a really bad cold/cough i couldn't shift. I was wheezing also. I couldn't believe if was asthma and just assumed it was a chest infection . .y doctor did my peak flow and it was 250 which surely it could be this with a chest

Could I have Lung Cancer?
Hey Guys, Newbie here. Feeling alarmed at the moment as I have had a chest x-ray showing shadow on the apex of the right lung, in position this corresponds to pain I have in upper chest and upper back. Been asthmatic for over 10 years, medication increasingly ineffective in recent years and put on
