I often feel short of breath, however when I check my oxygen it reads 97-99 and my peak flow is normal. I do have anxiety disorder, so I'm wondering if that could be the culprit and wether or not I should worry about this. For reference ok 20 years old w no health issues besides asthma and anxiety. Appreciate any all insight.

You can have anxiety and feel short of breath. Streets can cause asthma. I have it sometimes. Mine happens when I get frustrated and when I am getting ready to do something or getting ready to leave

Anxiety & asthma can each make the other one worse. And asthma meds can also make you feel anxious. Vicious circle! What helps me is doing my best to stay calm . Mindfulness, meditation, breathing exercises and cross stitch (there's a lot of zen to a relaxing hobby).

Best wishes to you.

When you feel short of breath use your rescue inhaler. If it helps it's asthma, if not it's probably anxiety. You can have early asthma symptoms before it affects your oxygen sometimes.

Treyjeff O2 reading is normally needs to be 94-98 yours is over the normal rate. Anxiety is the cause for shortness of breath . I have anxiety interfering with physical and emotional impact ! I had CBT last year and now do mediation deep breathing inhaling and exhaling and holding for few seconds help to calm your body ! It’s important to calm your self can cause other long term conditions if don’t find underlying cause! Find root problem like stress, work family life or even mental health problems causes anxiety would visit doctor but medication not always answer do try mediation insight app or you tube have brillant guided meditation 😊

Agree with the above comments. Try breating exercises to calm yourself down. They work! Also some adaptogens herbs are good for anxiety. Research them and see if this is something you can add to your supplements. Holy Basil is great and no side effects.
