My 9 year old girl has had "use when you need" inhalers since she was 12 months old, following bad breathing episodes during colds. Last winter she received a preventer which we used during the winter then stopped. I was monitoring her peak flow readings until a year ago and she was generally around

Me again there seem to be loads of questions
Me again. My peak flow is 250 is this due to the pneumonia I had and does anyone know if it will improve? Thanks for your patience.

Improved FEV1.
I just had a peak flow test at my PCP's office and my FEV1 has gone from 46 percent to 75 percent. I do notice that my breathing has improved from three months ago. Can it be the Stiolto causing such a dramatic increase in FEV1? I also feel like I am getting full breaths now with the meds in me. I can

Peak Flow and Exercise
Hi Does anyone know (for sure) whether 'exercise alone' is proven to contribute to improved Peak Flow - or is it that any Peak Flow improvements I see will be entirely down to the medicine I'm taking, plus additional factors (avoiding allergens etc) that exclude 'exercise'? I know, for various reasons

Back from the Doctor's
Update: OK, I'm back from the doctors. She said my breathing sounds ok (my peak flow was 420), but because of the pains in my chest and upper stomach, and the fatigue I've been suffering with this thing, she's put me on a new (to me) anti-biotic called Clarithromycin. The prescription is a 2 week dose

Asthma Attack round 2?
Hey everyone, I took an asthma attack just over 2 weeks ago and it was the scariest experience of my life. For the past few days I have been starting to feel the symptoms coming on again - the tightness in the chest, hot sweats, pains in back, feeling short of breath. I know from my previous experience

How long to recover?
I posted a week ago when I had a chesty cough and peak flow around 300-350 (pb 570). Dr said it was hayfever which caused sinus infection which then caused chest infection. He prescribed antihistamine, nose spray and antibiotics. With a couple of days my pf had gone up to 400 and the thick chesty cough

Chesty cough
For the last week I've been feeling unwell, runny nose, dizzy, achey etc. Steadily my peak flow had been dropping, I've got a chesty cough and I feel constantly short of breath. My pb peak flow is 570 but today I got only 350 but it wasn't really a true measurement as it stays me coughing in trying

Aspergillus Nodule shrinking.
Hello all, Thought I ought to let you know that at my last appointment at the National Aspergillosis Centre at University Hospital of South Manchester,. My X-Ray showed that the nodule found just over a year ago is shrinking even more and is barely noticeable now. Not bad for 10 months on Itraconazole

Confusing spirometry results!
Hey everyone! I know I posted about my case a few weeks ago, but I didn't get very many answers. I have a very confusing case. I show both severe COPD and also a severe restrictive lung dysfunction. Everything in my results points to stage 3 COPD except for my FEV1/FVC ratio. My FEV1/FVC ratio is 113
