Increase anxiety starting lexapro .10
I started lexapro .5 for a week and now it's been 4 days on .10. I wake up much more anxious and unsettled and have to take a xanax. Is this normal?

Getting better and then getting worse
Hi guys! It's been a long time since I've posted on here. I had been seeking treatment and I was very nervous about taking medications. For a while, I noticed some really great things. I was happy again. I was doing things on a whim. I was able to be myself again. I was taking a mixture of medicines

I'm new here...but a longtime survivor
I had my first panic attack in 1978...I know..that's a long time ago! Here's my story. I hope it may encourage others to seek help. I was 20 yrs old. I'm now 61. I am happily married with three grown daughters and 4 grandchildren. I have been successful in business and generally enjoyed my life so

I'm new and would like to introduce myself.
Hi my name is Meg and I've been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks for about 10 years. Lately the frequency and intensity of my attacks has increased significantly.. I even wake up with attacks which is new to me. I used to take a Xanax when needed but they stopped working for me. I switched to Ativan

Trying to quit drinking
I've decided to quit drinking but it's not easy. After being awake for 16 hours during the day not even my Zoloft, Buspar, and Xanax combination helps out-though 2-4 beers do. I've had anxiety long enough (20 years) to know drinking isn't the answer. I have no family or real friends to help me quit

EXTREME PANIC 🚨
OK so just a few Minutes ago I had a really bad Episode of panic that I fell to my Knees against my Husbands arms. It was sad to see that panic attacks are coming back sometimes I feel like I'm lost in my own mind. When I have a panic attack I start to think about all the possibilities that can happen

Not following commands, trach, COPD, pneumonia
My 76 y.o. Dad has been in ICU since May 20, he was intubated until June 12 when they did a tracheotomy. He's been sedated, sort of awake (opening his eyes, moving his limbs, but not following commands), he's fighting pneumonia in his right lung, and has COPD. The pneumonia is getting better but his

Constant worries
Hi all, I've just joined here to see can I find people with similar experiences as mine and maybe help others too. I'm 42 and a single mum of 4 kids 3 of which are still young. I've suffered anxiety and panic attacks from as young as 6 and was sexually abused as a child when my parents used to leave

Diagnosed with GAD, Prescribed Amitriptyline
After a long wait, i finally went and saw an actual psychiatrist who through a series of questions has diagnosed me with a "textbook" case of Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Its what i figured anyway going in so it wasnt a surprise. She has prescribed me 25mg amitriptyline for the first 3 or 4 days then

Need to say this about anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds.
There are many people who die from respiratory distress from taking these medications. Such as Celexa, Lexapro, Prozac, or Xanax, Klonopin, Valium., etc. They do suppress our breathing guys!! My husband and I ran across this while researching COPD. I fully realize the benefit one might have from

What now
So, I went for my well woman's exam yesterday. I was very anxious but I have a really good and understanding Dr. As soon as he put the little brush in to take the sample, I tensed up and started crying asking him to please hurry. He said ''I'm halfway done''. It hurt! He felt around, checked me head

Throat closing up
I keep getting a feeling like there is something in my throat blocking me from swallowing. I noticed that it gets worse after I eat. I have pulsatile tinnitus in my left ear which drives me insane, and bad headaches from stiff neck muscles. For the past few days, it feels like every time I eat, everything

Feeling strange
Today while sitting on the couch I felt a really strange pain in my chest. Now it's a nagging pain. I haven't had any anxiety in two days. No Xanax. But tonight I feel like my chest is tight and I'm not feeling well.

Please help:ptsd, depression, anxiety, derealization/depersonalization
This all happened from one traumatizing weed experience back in February. I've never had anxiety or depression my whole entire existence. I'm 17 but the last 4 months have been like a living hell. And it feels like it's getting worse. My derealization/depersonalizeation is so bad that I have to pinch

Hello :)
Hi all, I'm new here. I have some severe anxiety lately cause of my menopause but I have always been an anxious person. In my late 20s I suffered from a few episodes of panic attacks, really bad ones. I was on Xanax for a year and after I stopped them I was doing really well for a few years. Anxiety

Alternative to gabapentin
I take a number of medication, one is gabapentin, for restless leg syndrome, & back pain. I have degenerative spinal stenosis,, fibromyalgia, heart problems, etc, but I have trouble with breathing & heart palpitation & weakness from the waist down. I wonder if it is the gabapentin causing this. I take
