Rectal Vaginal nodule removal- post surgery
Surgery has been a slow recovery, the
wounds
healed nicely and quickly this time round but I still have to take things slow and avoid lifting anything of weight as i immediately feel it in my stomach area. I am still exhausted and fatigued alot but am learning to balance my days better.

Hi, this is my very first post and I am trying to find a solution to my nail biting problem. I have been biting my nails all my life, I was a kid when I started and never managed to stop ever since. I have been reading online and it looks like an OCD symptom. whenever I get anxious about anything I start

Getting Out of Your Head Space
Many of us who suffer from childhood trauma and/or depression and/or anxiety are stuck, fixated on something that simply won't relinquish its grasp on us when hard issues arise in our daily lives. What I do to move past it, in the short term, at least, is to go somewhere else. Get away from people,

I am soon to start inhaled Pentamidine instead of Atovaquone to prevent PCP - has anyone suffered any side affects from this?
I've taken Atovaquone, to prevent PCP, throughout my chemo and the last 7months post chemo. At my last Clinic appointment the Consultant decided that when I finish my present prescription of Atovaquone, I will commence inhaled Pentamidine once every 4 weeks instead of the Atovaquone . I'm wondering if

Does it sound infected?
Hi all I’ve posted a few times about my situation as it’s my first op I’ve had done I had a laparoscopy done on Tuesday and I thought my belly button was infected as it was stinging so I went to the doctors yesterday and she said it doesn’t look infected and took a swab cleaned it and sent me on my way

10 days after exploratory laparoscopy
Nothing was removed during the op and I feel reasonably well, though one of the
wounds
never stopped leaking and is slightly infected. The surgeon had a look at it and said it wasn't bad and I needed no antibiotics. Had a severe bout of diarrhoea last night, but that seems to have settled.

Caring role causing difficulties

Bio-oil skin use
I'm three weeks post 4x CABG and the leg where the vein was taken is still bruised and swollen, but the
wounds
are healing well. The skin on my leg is so dry and flaking and uncomfortable. I've been given some Bio-oil and told it will improve the dryness and reduce scarring.

Circumcision scab/dried blood
It's a lot compared to others I've seen on here, their
wounds
look very clean. I asked my dad about it and he told me to just leave it because scabs heal. Not sure if I should try to dissolve the scabs or just do nothing.

Help to shape future care: Patient Association survey on 'Photo at Discharge'
The Patients Association, in collaboration with Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, is conducting a survey to explore people’s thoughts on ‘Photo at Discharge’ (PaD). A PaD is a photograph taken by a nurse or other healthcare professional of a patient’s wound at the point of their discharge

Laparoscopy
Hi all. First of all of I'd ike to point out I DONT have endometriosis, however it was suspected (I just thought this would be the best place to ask this question!) I had a laparoscopy yesterday and instead they discovered and removed a paratubal cyst. My pain was always on my lower left pelvic area.

Non-family informal care role, big problems
Her son tells her she should not have the careworker more than once a day, despite being doubly incontinent, bed-bound, with unhealed extensive surgical
wounds
, upper and lower leg, immuno-suppressed, and severe arthritis etc. she cannot use knife and fork, has to have food pre-cut.

Swelling fluid after cranioplasty
The
wounds
wouldn’t heal and despite, various steps ( stitches, super glue etc) I was readmitted and then had plastic surgery on 28th March. Things are healing much better this time. Over the last few days I have developed a sizeable area of fluid over the plate.
