This is the week in the US when we take time to say thank you to a very special group of nurses, called WOCNs (Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses). These nurses have special training and certifications to treat people with hard -to-heal wounds, ostomies, and both urinary and bowel incontinence. They are often associated with medical centers, would clinics and specialty treatment centers. #WOCNurseWeek2019

These nurses usually are the ones who provide hands-on and one-to-one training and assistance with patients and their caregivers. They are a very special group of nurses!

So this week, if you learning from or working with a WOC nurse, please give them a special thank you!
