Hi all. First of all of I'd ike to point out I DONT have endometriosis, however it was suspected (I just thought this would be the best place to ask this question!) I had a laparoscopy yesterday and instead they discovered and removed a paratubal cyst. My pain was always on my lower left pelvic area. Now, post surgery I was a little hazy and sick, so memory not great. Pretty certain surgeon said it came off my left fallopian tube....however, now I'm seriously doubting myself, as my 3 incisions are: tummy button, central low just by bickni line and above my right hip....nothing on my left side!? Would they have been able to get to my left side through those holes? Many thanks in advance, and apologies about the ramble!

Laparoscopy
Hi there. I had my laparoscopy on Thursday and I only have an incision in my belly button and left side, nothing on right side. I was shown photos afterwards so I think it’s normal not to have incisions on both sides. I assume that if they can see everything they want to, then they try and minimise the incisions they do.
Hey, I think they go in the belly button first then decide what’s best from there. My surgeon removed loads from my right side without cutting the right as I had extensive adhesion and he didn’t want to make it worse. I know he has removed it because he gave me pictures of it all (I know it’s insane) so maybe the surgeon didn’t want to create more trauma on the left for you. I have one cuts on the left one in the middle and 2 in the belly botton 🤷♀️ do u have a follow up? If so maybe you could ask the surgeon then? Hope this helps x
