Leaving Pegasys behind
Saw new haematologist in Toulouse ( France)last week. After long discussion doctor’s advice was that I stop taking Pegasys. A decision I think I’d already realised I needed to take. I tolerated the drug well for 6-7 months, but for the last 4-5 months the side effects have been getting progressively

Can I ever run again?

Pressure testing before surgery.
Interested to hear comments about patients not having their eye pressures checked prior to surgery. I had aqueous shunts in both eyes for normal tension glaucoma. At the first operation the anaesthetist asked me my pressures as he had some difficulty putting the anaesthetic fluid around the eye, which

👋🏻 Another newbie
Hey everyone! I wanted to join a few groups including this one to see if I can relate to anybody about my chronic pain. My doctor initially mentioned it could be Fibromyalgia, but no official diagnosis, 18months later I’ve plucked up the courage to restart investigations and talk to my doctor again

Update on cataract op and Flecainide
I posted recently about a comment my surgeon made after my first cataract op when he said that Flecainide had made the first op slightly more awkward than normal. Today I had my second review and asked him for more detail. He said that Flecainide makes the central black part of the eye 'floppy' and

Sore eyes and mouth.
Michelle Holder. Hi, I contacted you before when I had very sore eyes. I also developed a mouth ulcer that became infected. Now I have sore eyes again. I used antibiotic drops for eyes and steroid lozenges and oral antibiotic for my mouth. Could you tell me if the antibiotic eye drops worked successfully

Myo-inositol - Random Wondering
Lately I've been feeling better (diagnosed with REMSBD, not PD) and with my kitchen sink attitude towards supplements it can be hard to tell why. One of my "way out on a limb" protocols is taking 100 mg of selenium with 750 mg of Myo-Inositol every day. I take these together because I saw a study on

Pegasys injections now hurt
Hi all, I have ET and have been injecting Pegasys weekly since around March this year. I always choose my abdomen as my thighs are a bit solid and it never used to hurt but the past few times it hurts when the needle pierces the skin. It often takes two or 3 attempts and now I’ve built up a bit of a

good news 👀.......off topic
Hello everyone, Haven't posted for a while now and wanted to share my good news. After not having an eye test since the summer of 2019 due to covid I had what is supposed to be a yearly test today. The optician said my eyes are very healthy and there is no deterioration. No new lenses or glasses required

Bladder issues after eye injection anyone?
Hello, has anyone had bladder issues as result of eye injections? I’ve had cystitis type pain (no infection) and GP says that smth is irritating my bladder but nothing has changed other than the fact I am getting the injections and it all started after my first Eylea (I’ve had 2 so far), just wondering

Survived second cataract op!
Hi Everyone thank you so much for all your good wishes, they certainly helped as the op went very smoothly and fingers crossed actually feels a better outcome than first round of surgery. Underway with the drop routine, seems easier this time round probably because I’ve done it before and know I can

Eylea left me with permanent floaters... HELP
I've been diagnosed with CRVO since June 2020. I received Avastin shots for the first 7 months with no complications or lasting floaters, then 3 months with Lucentis, then my RS experimented with Eylea on the 11th month and now I have a permanent floater that looks like an opaque blurry jellyfish in

Should I be worried?
Hi, everyone, it’s me again! Another problem; I started to get a bloodshot eye about 3 weeks ago which hasn’t gone away. I contacted the drs surgery and they sent me to the pharmacy who sent me to the optician as an emergency. She did loads of tests and took photos, and informed me that I had a lesion

Monopost/Latanaprost & palpitations at night
Hi everyone, I was prescribed Monopost eye drops for raised pressure behind the eyes, which I've had for years. I had an Iridotomy several years ago which kept the pressures under control for a while, then they increased again. Visual field tests always seem fine. In March this year the consultant

I Have A Question
I have a question. But first the reason for the question... I have been having problems with my eyes. I am seeing little snapshots of parts of what I am looking at or just looked. It's like a nano second of time & it's gone. It's appears in either eye at different places. It's kind of like the eye exam

Doing good
DOING GOOD Morning all. I haven't posted for a while but have been following all the advice from this site. I felt that my Dr gave up on me as i havent heard from her in 8 weeks now. I decided to pay privately to see a rheumatologist as it seems most of you were sent to one. What a relief to talk
