Stricture 'pops' when Catheterising.
I do a two week catheterise for a stricture I have post TURP (2019). Last time I did it there was some resistance to the Catheter going in and when I eased it past there was a pop sensation as it broke through. No blood though (not like when I had a bladder inspection when the scope broke the stricture

Ductal PCA - Avoid T.U.R.P. and Self Cath
I have serious pissing problems with this cancer and after DX last fall, a TURP was done in December. From that sample, pathology determined this beast to be a Ductal PCA, a very aggressive cancer. Pissing problems returned in March, and the answer was to perform another TURP. Radiation Doc

Swollen limbs and body
I don’t have
water
retention
, I worked healthcare and know the signs etc, but even though my GP has checked for inflammatory markers in the past, my blood work comes back normal. So I was wondering if anyone else experiences something similar or if I should be pushing for another GP appointment.

Hello, my name is Anna , does anyone have any experience being on Effexor for anxiety and depression (low mood)? If so, did you taper off, we’re the withdrawals bad?

Proving my worth again
Things slipped out of my hands, i have again realized that i am unworthy of any sort of love or companionship. Yet another relationship i have failed myself with. This time it hurts a bit too much, because i love him so much yet i had to leave him, because i knew staying any longer wouldn't do any good

Is This Normal for PC?
Every Cancer is different is what they all say. I seem to have inherited a very different one. Urination issues: Had urination issues as symptoms beginning last Summer, and diagnosed in November with Ductal PCA. The medical solution to my pissing problem was a TURP. Lasted a bit over two months

Venlaflaxine experience
Hi all Has anyone got any experience with venlaflaxine - possitive or negative. I was taken off escitalopram, and that was replaced with Venlaflaxine, around 2 years ago. I'm still getting severely depressed, which I didn't on escitalopram. In fact I was a little numb to emotion, which I don't like

Gonna give it a second go
I’ve mentioned on here before that I was on Citalopram for my panic attacks and that I was alluding to getting back on ADHD medication since I haven’t ever really been on it (I was in the 3rd/4th grade but I hated swallowing pills so I’d hide them 😅). I am now considering getting back on both because

Want to reduce your depression risk? Wake up an hour earlier.
Waking up just one hour earlier could reduce a person’s risk of major depression by 23%, suggests a sweeping new genetic study published May 26 in the journal JAMA Psychiatry. The study of 840,000 people, by researchers at University of Colorado Boulder and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, represents

Does NDT have a diuretic effect that levothyroxine doesn´t?
I have read in the past that some of the weight gain in hypothyroidism is
water
weight and not fat, and that fluid
retention
is what gives many hypo patients a puffy face and swollen fingers. Not that most doctors have a clue about that, though.

Dual diagnosis
Hi. I have depression, psychosis and a drug addiction. Lost my job last year because I was "unlikely to recover". GP's keep referring me to Mental Health Services who keep rejecting me. Flat out refuse to do anything to help. Depression came first, then addiction. DWP = severely disabled. Unable to

How do I break the habit?
I haven't posted in awhile but I have an issue that I have been dealing with that I was hoping to get some feedback on. I have developed a bad habit of excessively touching, twirling, and lightly pulling on my hair. I'm not sure if it would be accurate as to go so far to say that I might have Trichotillomania

Bipolar disorder
My older sister is bipolar. She is currently on 750mg of depakote along with two other meds. Depakote is the medication that stabilized her after she was manic for about two months... ughh to tell you all how difficult, stressful, sad these past two months were. We had to hospitalize her twice!! I quit

Losartan or anxiety causing tingling lips??
Hello everyone. Have just started low dose Losartan after coming off Ramipril due to it making Raynauds worse. Only been taking Losartan for 3 days and I have had tingling lips, croaky voice and mouth ulcers. Just wondered if anyone else has taken this bp med and how they got on. Have not posted for

Pissing Problems Return
Hello Fellow Warriors! Started two weeks ago with a UI, but was able to empty the tank with some burning and pissing very often. Started on an antibiotic. That didn't help, so on to a different antibiotic that started last Friday. Pissing became more difficult that next day and Sat night thought

Medichecks now not doing tests for NI patients? Since when?
I’ve done many tests with medichecks over the years. Tried to order a thyroid function test but am told now that they don’t deliver to Northern Ireland! Since when? It says on their site that they deliver to the UK. As far as I’m aware NI is still part of the UK! So angry!
