I was diagnosed with OP about 10 years ago due to an early menopause at 38 and was put on the weekly medication of Alendronic Acid along with calcichew. Everything was ok until 2021 when I had emergency abdominal surgery, I was in ICU for nine days and my family were told I only had a 30% chance of

How do you come down from the pred high?
I wrote what follows as a response to someone else mentioning the pred high but then realised it should have been a new post. So here it is again, edited and with a heading. I seem to feel hyperactive all the time, at the moment, especially if I do exercises. Last night I went out to the local exercise

Why should ft4 be at a certain percentage through reference range (mid to upper) when on T4/T3 combination therapy when T4 is inactive?
As per the subject title, if ft4 is inactive, then why do some people on T4/T3 therapy only feel good if their ft4 level is at the mid/upper level despite the fact their ft3 (active form) may be at a optimal level? Or if they are not feeling well, why are they advised to increase their Levo dosage if

blue fingers when in hot bath??
Has anyone else had this? It happen to my toes when I was in the shower the other day too. I don’t know if it’s Raynauds or my low ferritin/anemia or what. About to go for a colonoscopy this week for the anemia and a high positive FIT test but I can’t see it being linked to that.

Recommended Tracking App - Easy to use, tracks what I need to monitor for CKD
After searching for a long time and almost giving up, I finally found an app that does everything that I need. Yeah! It tracks my diet and helps me monitor my intake of Sodium, Potassium, Phosphate, Protein and Water, which is important for patients with CKD . At the same time it tracks calories

Hello. I am normally to be found on the PA forum but, as we all know, one autoimmune disease can often be followed by another. For that reason I have taken the advice of my fellows there and had my thyroid tested. Got the results today. They all seem within range but that doesn’t mean optimal of course

Euthyroid Thyroid Eye Disease
I have had problems with one eye for 9 months now. Started with gritty feeling, watering eye. Inflammation and baggy eye bags. Then fatty bumps appeared to be coming through above one eye, and one eye ball seems slightly higher than the other, and pushed forward slightly. Then came the double vision

Advice on my non-existent TSH Please
I had radio iodine treatment 5 years ago after having Graves. I am on 75 and 100 Levothyroxine on alternate days (a low dose I know). I was given additional T3 med lythothyronine 18 months ago, 5 mg twice daily which improved my quality of life no end. My thyroid levels have been fairly steady over

My Story with Hashimoto'S and Delusional PMT
Hello, first of all it was good to have found this group. 🙂 Sometimes I feel alone and crazy, because I go for a test and it's "Okay." I'm from Portugal and I take Eutirox 112mg. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in 2018, but the test values were not high enough to take medication. (TSH, T4 and T3

Source of NDT or T3?
Looking for some advice. I’ve been having hypothyroid symptoms for years, with FT3 at the very bottom end and often below range the few times I got the doctor to test it. Morning oral temp at 35.8-36.0C Only a couple of times did it approach 50% of range and that was using desiccated thyroid supplements

Low HCG levels
Hi all, just looking for some hope I guess. I had 5day FET. Was testing positive lightly from day 6. Has blood test 12 days after it was 72 then 4 days later was 205. Now I'm going to have my 3rd test today. Dr said it doesn't sound very promising 😔 my urine tests have progressively got darker but no

T3 question
I’m currently on T3 only because of bad reaction with levothyroxine. I’ve been on Liothyronine 10mcg twice a day since 11 November. I haven’t been back to the doctors for a thyroid function test since October as I’ve read frequently that on T3 only they go more on symptoms than levels. I no longer have

response regarding my endocrinologist complaint
Hi, I am sharing the letter I received from the hospital ( it’s taken them well over 6 months). I was so ‘cheesed off’ with the reply that it’s taken me 3 days to read it again and then I spilt coffee on it 🥴. I don’t know why I thought I’d get anything better, but the response is actually farcicle
