I’m fine. Really?
Brain fog is a brilliant description that no one can really understand until they experience it. I feel like my brain is surrounded by a thick cotton wool-like layer that makes me want to just lie down and close my eyes - except that makes me dizzy. What the heck is happening to me? I’m 65 and moved

Hey lovelies 💛 I hope you are all doing well. I had my Laparoscopy 4 weeks ago now (9th April) I was in theatre for around 3 hours and they removed a fair bit of endo. I've felt really good since, only a little bit of pain & managing to do normal things - cooking, cleaning etc. However I have had

Treating Parkinson’s by targeting the gut-brain axis with B vitamins
A study by Nagoya University in Japan found a link between gut bacteria and Parkinson’s disease (PD). Researchers discovered fewer gut bacteria genes that make B vitamins B2 and B7 in PD patients. They also found that low levels of these vitamins are linked to poor intestinal barrier function, allowing

Being gas-lit: NOT Hypothyroidism, it’s Silent Reflux says Consultant Thyroid/ENT – Advice requested.
I’m now 73. It’s six years since I first presented to a GP with a swelling on my neck and poor concentration, which within a fortnight progressed to include zombie-like brain fog. Fearing lymphoma I was fast-tracked for an ultrasound scan on my thyroid which showed multiple tiny swellings on my left

Vitamins to help bone healing
A recent broken wrist has led me to discover the importance of Vitamin C in bone health. Unsurprising really, as it's important for collagen formation. Here is a nice little article outlining the role various nutrients have in maintaining bone health: https://www.webmd.com/osteoporosis/osteo-fracture-diet

Poor GP response for years!
Hello. First time poster here Long story short I have been taking Levothyroxine for around 8 years and within this time I have had a constant battle with my GP to manage my symptoms. Unfortunately I have found that it does depend on which GP you get as to whether they will increase Levothyroxine.
