Daughters bloods, awful GP's
Following on from previous post https://healthunlocked.com/pasoc/posts/150635331/daughter-still-really-not-great-and-cannot-get-through-to-medics Kept trying to get earlier B12 jab, she has not been great, told no. Checking on another matter with surgery accidentally found out she had an appointment

Optimum Ferritin Result?
What is the optimum ferritin result I should seek to achieve and how, please. My recent last result was 90mcg/L (30 - 200). I SI B12 EOD. I take a B complex (B6 10mg) and folic acid (5mg) as a separate supplement.

Eye issues related to hypothyroidism
Hi all, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in January of this year and started on 50mg levothyroxine. I’m having bloods every six weeks and working on my iron, vitamin D levels, folate and selenium. I’ll add my test results at the end for info. Overall I am feeling much better but I developed eye

New ER for low hemoglobin
I am preaching to the choir to tell you that the US healthcare is a mess. I still do not have answers or a transfusion. My hem/onc wanted me back in the ER, and last night’s ER doctor did not do all the bloodwork she wanted even though the two hospitals are in the same system. I chose to go to Yale Nee

Methylfolate dose for B12 injections
Whilst high dose folic acid is definitely helping me utilise my EOD injections, I think it’s also progressively not agreeing with me so I am going to try methylfolate. However, there seems no information on the recommended dose for supporting injections. Is anyone else on it, and how much do you take

Stopped taking mood supplement, SAM-e...is that WHY I'm struggling?🤔🧐🤨
It works with
vitamin
B12 and folate (
vitamin
B9
). Being deficient in either
vitamin
B12 or folate may reduce levels of SAMe in your body. Several studies show that SAMe helps relieve the pain of osteoarthritis. Other studies suggest that SAMe may help treat depression.

iron and b12 test results
How am I doing with iron and b12? i posted before about my thyroid results and have reduced my Levo a tiny amount pending testing again in a few weeks time I now have the rest of my results (minus ferritin and folate ) from MMH. I can see that my iron and b12 are not dire but neither are they optimal

Which tests please?
Hi there, I’m meeting my NHS endocrinologist for a post natal check up. I have an Underactive thyroid and the endocrinologist is happy to check if I have Hashimotos. 1. He has asked for TSH, T4 + Antibodies to be checked. My latest test shows a slightly below range TSH, because of this should

Better Understanding
I knew and expressed here that I was fearful of crashing this winter as I have since 1995 to varying degrees. I had set a marker of April 01 as a measure. I was successful although I will wait until April 01 to see it in my rear view mirror, and have a celebration although I am already celebrating. Some

advice, thoughts please, feeling rather desperate?!
hi I only got one response to my recent post which was so kind but no feedback so am trying again as I’m a bit stumped. I’d hoped going on NDT would relieve fibro symptoms and generally help me feel better, and give me more energy, but despite latest test results I don’t feel that much different. Certainly

B12 injections
Hi,I've been diagnosed with PA since 2021. I was on loading doses, then 3 monthly. This didn't agree with me and I was exhausted so I was moved from 3 months to 6 weeks. I was still finding myself wiped after 4 weeks ish so was moved to 3 weeks. During my 3 weekly treatment I began getting facial tingling

Suspected Pernicious Anemia - what next?
Hello, I am very glad to have found this forum as I have been researching B12D and PA a lot recently. I became familiar with the society’s website and found it so helpful. I am 29F in the US and I suspect I have Pernicious Anemia. This is what I know so far (sorry in advance if this post rambles on)

Thyroid Function test
A friend has recently had TSH and T4 blood test via GP . I have suggested she join this wonderful community but said I would give her blood test results for your input. She has had a lot of gut issues, brain fog, exhaustion. Her results are: Serum free T4 level (XaERr) below range 9.7 pmol/L (10.5-24.5
