Newest Bloods since starting T3!
Hello All!! It's been about seven weeks since starting T3, so I thought I'd check in and post the newest (Medichecks) blood results. I am so happy with the T3 addition and feel SO much better. Have more energy, a better outlook and even lost some weight. The results show that the TSH has bottomed out

B12 and nerve regeneration
Starting in the 1990s, and continuing until my diagnosis with B12 deficiency in 2021, I had a series of problems with piriformis syndrome, sciatic nerve pain, and similar involvements with leg nerves. In searching around for related B12 information in Google Scholar I came across this article: https:

self injecting problem
I posted before about fracturing my shoulder and couldn't self inject one handed, found out that the local pharmacist do B12 injections which solved my problem. Though I should point out I think they would adhere to the NICE recommendations of every 3 months and you obviously have to pay for it,

I wonder because my sister was diagnosed with pernicious anemia years ago but now they say her b12 levels are really high normal.

Recent thyroid panel.. thoughts
Hi, I am after completing a full thyroid panel and I am a bit surprised by the results. In order to complete the test I stopped all vitamins for over a week to ensure the blood work was not affected by supplements. I am wondering what your take on my results would be? Any pointers would be really appreciated

B12 expiry date
Hi all. I have around 20 vials of B12 and have just checked the expiry date. It is the end of this month! 🙄Is the expiry date fixed, or am I able to use them safely for a period of time after the expiry date? I assume the effectiveness of the B12 may be compromised after the expiry date? 🤔

Interesting
At least I think so. I have started to experience the pins and needles of Paresthesia. I have never experienced this symptom before. It does not worry me as it is likely the result of my healing with effective self treatment and it is reasonable to assume it will be resolved. I did make the error of

Biotin
Hi please can you tell me how much biotin would affect blood test results. I am waiting for a doctors appointment , they have told me it will be between 2 and 4 weeks, but could be sooner. I am currently taking B complex supplement which contains biotin. I know the guideline is don't take for 7 days.

Advice on Progress with T3 Trial
I started my T3 trial in July this year. My Endo asked me to reduce my Levothyroxine from 75 to 25mcg and to add 2 x Liothyronine 5mcg. I made changes slowly but was alarmed at dropping to 25mcg T4 so alternated with 50/25, eventually keeping at 50 mcg after an interim Medichecks blood test. I have

Orchiectomy
I have metastatic cp to the bone. I have been on Lupron Xtandi and Hi dose Vitamin C for the last 19 months my current PSA is <0.1 and has been for the last 6 months. I am 83 years old and am in reasonable good health, other than pc. I have read that having an orchiectomy would yield longer life. Also

How can you get homocysteine test on NHS
I’ve had an under active thyroid for many years and now I think may be B12 deficient too. Also have high blood pressure. I’ve been doing a lot of research recently and read about the importance of homocysteine. I had it tested privately about six years ago and it was at the “high end of normal” then
