Not sure if I’m allowed to ask this, apologies if not. Dr has agreed 6 loading doses then 3 monthly B12 injections which will be Hydroxocobalamin this injection is cyanocobalamin. Two questions has anyone used these injections, are they any good? Can you have hydroxo and then inject with cyano ?

Hi everyone, following on from my posts of last week I had a telephone consultation with a doctor at my practice, not my usual doctor, re my swollen ankles which I have been bad for quite some time now. He seemed moreconcerned about my PMR and how long I have been on prednisolone and my current dose

Iron Deficiency and Iron Deficiency Anemia: Potential Risk Factors in Bone Loss
Members are likely all too familiar with patients being told that they are suffering osteopenia or osteoporosis due to having too much thyroid hormone. And, especially, too much T3. While it is important to realise that there is a case to be made regarding excess thyroid hormone, it is just as important

weight gain
Morning everyone, I was told by a nurse practitioner this week that the fact my T4 level is low since they changed my Thyroxine dose from 100mg to 75mg has nothing to do with my recent weight gain - her argument being that she doesn’t have a thyroid and she’s not overweight. My diet hasn’t changed

Hello, I was wondering how to tell if you need b12 injections when you take oral b12 and your serum b12 always comes out looking great? I haven't had it tested recently but past tests always come out way over the range. Anyway, I saw a post by @Marz in which she said that she takes b12 due to having

Needle problems
Hi. I do 2 IM injectios a week at home in alternating thighs. I sometimes has issues with the needles/syringes doc sends me. Recently had a new issue, just wondering if it's me or the syringe. It's happened 2x. When I inject my thigh the plunger won't depress. I have no reason to believe I put the needle
