Has anyone tried B12 vitamins and found they helped reduce tinnitus?

Any advice other than sound therapy/distraction really appreciated?

I have checked out the tinnitus uk site.

there have been recent comments, see below, on Ginkgo Biloba. A few weeks ago someone recommended Magnesium, which I am currently trialling, and another poster bought some CBD gummies which s/he has not yet taken. I personally haven’t tried B12.

Hi! I've been taking B12 since my T started around a year ago. I haven't noticed any difference.

I've been taking B12 with a multivitamin tablet for years and I haven't noticed any difference. After my mum died from dementia and I was told gingko was good for preventing cognitive decline I've been taking gingko for years. I don't whether it's helping cognitive decline but it's not made any difference to my T.

Not B12 but I’ve been taking B9 folate supplements - and seems to be helping reduce the volume for me x

Hi there I've noticed a difference in my tinnitus since taking a good multivitamin containing b12, magnesium, zinc, vitamin a,d,b etc, plus probiotics and I also use plantago drops from a. Vogel which are very good at clearing up mucus xx

I'll see if I can post a photo for you, I get them from a company called bodykind, not sure if they're available elsewhere😊

thanks, I’ll look into these vitamins and plantago, but probably need to check with dr as also on thyroid medication and hrt.

Any ideas if they have an impact?

Not sure re thyroid and I'm on HRT patches but must admit not checked re those. But I do have a liver condition and have had epilepsy, and had them checked re those and medicines people at hospital have said vitamins, plantago and probiotics all ok x

I have a feeling that any benefits from B12 (I have read of a few cases), would be likely to accrue only if a blood test shows deficiency and the doctor prescribes regular injections of the vitamin. For those who are deficient - sometimes post-menopausal women (I know one), the injections are a boon - they restore energy levels and make the recipient feel much better all round. I don't personally know any such person who had T + the injections though.

B12 did reduce my tinnitus but only when taken as an injection and then it only lasted for two days and the ringing was back to normal.

Hi, I’ve taken B12 for many years plus magnesium - unfortunately neither has made any difference to my T - however that’s not to say my T would wouldn’t be louder if I didn’t take them 🤷‍♀️
