Active b12 versus serum b12
My Medichecks active b12 is 63.1 (range is 37.5-188) but my serum b12 tested at my gp surgery shows top of range. Should I supplement? I also have hypothyroidism. Thank you

Serum b12 V Active b12
I’ve just received my active b12 result from Medichecks. It was 63.1 yet my recent serum b12 from my GP surgery was over the top of the range. Over the years I have always had top of range serum levels . Should I supplement with vitamin b12? Thank you

Being gas-lit: NOT Hypothyroidism, it’s Silent Reflux says Consultant Thyroid/ENT – Advice requested.
I’m now 73. It’s six years since I first presented to a GP with a swelling on my neck and poor concentration, which within a fortnight progressed to include zombie-like brain fog. Fearing lymphoma I was fast-tracked for an ultrasound scan on my thyroid which showed multiple tiny swellings on my left

Deadly facts of b12
There is a guy on tiktok called Gary Brecka giving the 'deadly facts of b12' I looked in the comments he has people terrified of cyanocobalamin. I'm still alive and have it every 4 weeks 🤔😂

B12 sources
I'm new here and not sure how it works but the problem is, I have moved house and thus GP practice, I normally have my B12 injections every 28 days and I don't think my new GP will do this, saying they usually do them every 2 months or so. This is no good to me so will have to self inject, can anyone

How do I start on self injecting?
I have been on B12 injections for years, but since covid they don't last. I get mine every 8 weeks, but symptoms return after only one week now and get progressively worse, tremors, ataxia, severe pain in spine.... but GP refuses injections more frequently. How do I go about self injecting, where do

Starting B12 Injections - What To Expect?
Hi! I am now going to be starting Vitamin B12 injections in a couple of weeks, one every other day for 2 weeks then one every three months. SIBO and B12 deficiency and OCD?
In 2022 I found out for myself that it had to be a
vitamin
B12
deficiency
. And indeed it was. Hoping he would get better through injections.First every 72 hours, later every 48 hours. No improvement whatsoever, no matter how small. Nothing! The mental complaints became worse, more frequent.

Found some old results
From all my test results in my bio, it is known I am a poor convertor. From recommendations within the Group back in 2016 it was felt I needed to add some T3, which my Endo at the time wouldn't do because of my severe anxiety levels and he said it would have to be dosed very carefully. I started the

b12 iron relationship?
Hi friends…I was diagnosed with a b12 deficiency in June, which is thankfully improving with injections (I had horrible neuro symptoms). I had my iron tested twice over the summer, both well in the good range (over 100). However, this week I had an iron panel showing my iron is 40 (literally the bottom

Carnivore Diet - Can't solidly recommend it
I have been on the Carnivore Diet for 3 months or so, as part of my quest to ameliorate as much of my Young Onset Parkinsons Disease symptoms as possible. I'll sum it up a bit for you. 1. The diet consists of animal products and ideally no plant products. I ate mostly beef, eggs and butter, but

Folate
I did a full bloods Medichecks test. They have emailed me saying: Unfortunately, they were unable to process your folate biomarker. The results the lab were able to process, will be uploaded once they have been reviewed by a member of the medical team for you. I’m a bit non-plussed as I stopped taking
