Writing a lot here.
I am aware I am writing a lot here. I am also aware others are doing the important work of disseminating information to those who are suffering and I am not doing that work. I mean no disrespect to those in the throes of B12 deficiency. I write as it is helpful to me and others indicate it may be helpful

Medichecks advanced thyroid rest
Hi all, The instructions for my medichecks test says to stop B12 for two whole weeks before testing! Do others follow this advice? I know from this forum that I have to stop any biotin containing supplements for 7 days before any blood test.

vitamin deficiencies
I had most of my sigmoid removed because of diverticulitis five years ago. My question is my surgeon said that it should not affect my vitamin or mineral intake because the sigmoid doesn’t involve that. Got on finding that it most certainly does I get a B12 injection because I’m a vegetarian so that

Found some research from the 1960s re alternative to injecting B12... Warning! Probably too much info before breakfast - Suppositories!
I am really struggling with injections no matter where, how and with help or not. Seriously interested in alternatives that could help. https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.3181/00379727-123-31527?icid=int.sj-abstract.similar-articles.3#:~:text=It%20was%20found%20that%20vit,m%CE%BCg%20per%20rectum%20was

Hi, I was diagnosed with megaloblastic anaemia yesterday. My gp, sent over a prescription for Cyanocobalamin 1mg/1ml solution for injection ampoules. My pharmacy and other pharmacies don't stock it. I left a note for my doctor with the receptionist to ask for possibly a different brand or type. I'm new

Manufacturer recommendations
I’ve just read and compared the manufacturer instructions for Hevert and Pascoe. Hevert - first few weeks 1ml (500mcg) twice weekly followed by 100mcg per month. Discard remaining b12 in ampoule. Pascoe initially 1500mcg twice weekly, also followed by monthly dose of 100mcg. So 1/15th of an ampoule

Hi there, I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid back in July 2020. I was prescribed 25mg levothyroxine which was increased to 50mg after 6 months. Shortly after starting levothyroxine I started getting stiffness in my neck and shoulders along with pain in my hips and groin - the only way I can

Update after Endo
Good morning, I'm just writing this as an update to anyone who may be interested in my seemingly-odd case... My Endo appointment went well. (Or so I thought but if you're learning from this post, please read the comments!) She believes I have Graves disease, despite the antibodies indicating Hashimotos

Tirosint
I am unable to take tablet form levothyroxine, I have a gene issue with metabolising some medications. I have started liquid thyroxine but I think the ingredients are affecting my stomach and I have been told to stop taking this to see if it is the cause. I see that Tirosint is quite pure but not sure
