Thyroid symptoms or Parkinsons, an update to my previous post
A huge thank you to all the people who gave me such good advice! My FT3 is slightly up and my FT4 is slighty down, result! Going in the right direction. My Vitamin D is improving, I will continue to use BetterYou sublingual sprays (D3+K2) for this, and magnesium. My Vitamin B12 hasn't moved much,

All Symptoms could be Neurological?
It seems to me that all symptoms of B12 deficiency that are known and some I experience that are not not associated with B12 deficiency could be attributed to the neurological system. Any thoughts?

Starting B12 injections, how often?
Hello everybody, I will be receiving my first B12 injection next week. My blood test results were as follows folate 3.4ug/L, ferritin 19.9ug/L and B12 218ug/L before any medication. I started on iron and folate tablets a week ago. What I'm wondering is how often should I be getting the B12 injection

Another general B12 article
This article https://www.mdpi.com/2076-393X/10/11/1966 is interesting for it's review of the general role of vitamin B12 in a specific category of disorders. The part containing mention of B12 is section 4.3.

Blood result and raised MCV
Hi everyone. I had a recent blood test as I've been supplementing with gentle iron, general A-Z vits and B12 since the spring. I particularly wanted to check up on my iron/ferritin status. I've never had a positive diagnosis of PA, or even of B12 deficiency as my levels have always been 'in range'.

More drug news
I seem to have posted quite a lot about my experiences with drugs recently. I seem to be on a downward spiral and a learning curve at the same time - but not getting much relief from drugs for one reason or another. My last post was about Propranolol and I posted here because I was concerned about

Reversing out compared to using up B12.
The concept of topping off came to me from reading here. It was contrary to my understanding of loading then maintenance. My current understanding is my body at best does not store B12 very well or can not utilize the B12 that is stored. The results are the same. Until proven otherwise the loading

COVID Fatigue compared to B12 Deficiency Fatigue.
I tested positive for COVID 12 days ago took Paxlovid for 5 days. Thank you Pfizer scientists including creating a way for some applied scientist/medical to not screw it up. Improved for 7 days then experienced rebound for three days. Thanks again Pfizer scientists for gathering and disseminating

B12 problems?
I don't know what your symptoms are but I was vitamin b12 deficient with a similar reading and I had the symptoms of tingling and wierd dizziness among others. Despite this I was told it was fine as within normal limits. It is a large range and stands to reason that that reading can be low for some

B12 deficiency
I have large red platelets and nearly every symptom of B12 deficiency. Dr stopped injections three years ago as he said B12 has gone too high. I can’t eat protein so then developed neurological symptoms. I can’t walk or stand. I have Hashimotos and have developed skin pigmentation. Dr agreed to give

I can’t walk or stand and am scared I will be in a wheelchair for ever. Dr said my B12 was normal but it is almost out of range

Off B12 a week before B12 blood test or not?
Hello, my mum is due a repeat B12 blood test (and hoping for a full iron panel too which I have just requested) - does she need to stop the B12 supplements a week before the blood test? Or is stopping B vitamins only necessary before the thyroid blood tests? Many thanks.

Anyone getting gout?
Hi everyone I am getting regular iron infusions because my ferritin isn’t stable. After the iron infusions I have to inject lots of b12. This has started to giving me gout. Wondering the connection. Anyone else like this? I don’t consume the normal things that would give you gout. My ferritin gets

Please could I have some advice about “normal” vitamin levels?
I have just had some bloods done by my GP, all of which are in the normal range. Some are low in range and I would be grateful for any recommendations, especially from SlowDragon Thanks. Serum ferritin level 131 ug/L [30.0 - 250.0 Serum vitamin B12 level 267 ng/L [200.0 - 900.0 Serum folate level
