Life insurance with severe asthma
On
Ventolin
/Fostair Nexthaler/Spiriva/Phyllocontin but not continuous pred. Was on montelukast but cons thinks it's useless and took me off. I've had about 23 full admissions in total over 4-5 years. No HDU or ITU.

Exercise induced asthma
Dr also told me increase to 4 puff
ventolin
before and after. To no avail :/ I have had ecg, X-ray and multiple blood test to rule out other possibilities. I'm now down to about 3 days a week of exercise as it takes me so long to recover.

Bisopropol Fumarate and Ventolin Evohaler (salbutamol) possible warning
Well it all started with a chest infection - went to Drs as it wasn't getting any better and was given and
Ventolin
inhaler and told to use as needed. Dr did ask if I had had one before to which I replied yes as I had - about 10 years ago (this was before I was on betablocker).

Inhaler dose counting
I have clenil modulite with a spacer and
ventolin
. The best option I have seen is something called a Doser which fixes on top, you enter the number of doses in a new canister and every squeeze it counts how many that day and how many left. It seems to only be available in the US.

Newbie having a tough time
Oh and I've been taking
Ventolin
, 4 puffs every 4 hours. Still coughing quite badly, and I'm still waking up coughing a few times a night, but asthma is under control. I'm seeing the asthma nurse on Wednesday and I want to push for further testing.

Weird....
On this journey I found myself using my inhalers less and less to a point where I might use the
Ventolin
once a week.

Is it just me
I spoke to my doc yesterday and she wants me to take 6-8 of my
ventolin
every 4 hours and if 8 isn't enough I have to go to hospital. Just wondering is anyone else struggling in this heat?

What should I do?
I've been using
ventolin
every day, waking during the night, having tight chest and feeling wheezy but can't hear anything if that makes sense? Also coughing when I do any exercise etc. My peak flow is at best 570 and has only dropped to 450 and my sats are around 96%.
