Ventolin

I managed to get a repeat prescription for ventolin. However, I feel I have been having asthma attacks in this time and the ventolin inhaler is not helping resolve them.

GP prescribed Symbicort 100, plus Ventolin for ‘emergency’ use - but I’m not sure that either has much effect, so have stopped using. Also because I had read that Symbicort might be the cause of croaky voice which was being a problem.

Im currently on Fostair and Ventolin inhalers...our drs.surgery no longer has an asthma nurse and I'm panicking in case it gets worse,is there anything stronger I could be prescribed as a backup just in case?My GP doesn't seem genned up on this side of treatment

I am a 52 year old male & have been asthmatic all my life.. on a preventor day and night and ventolin inhaler during the day and used every day without fail. As I am not classed as severe but wouldn't be able to run up a flight of stairs without a few puffs of inhaler.

There are days when she avoids Ventolin Shake altogether and the reduced usage has been commented upon by the chemist when only issuing two inhalers this month, not four.

I need two puffs of Ventolin and then I am ok. I never been so short of breath before....but I think it is stress with working long hours in the ER and ICU departments at our local hospital, and the recent death of my father (last month). I don’t know.

I’m on Braltus and Ventolin but frequently suffer disturbed sleep because of the need to “cough up “ and clear my airways. My thinking is the above will water down the phlegm making it easier to cough up . Would be interested if anyone has tried this

I am on fostair NEXThaler, ventolin and montelukast for my asthma. I spoke to asthma UK who said I should be shielding and to ring my consultant but he said no. I am really worried about the Coronavirus like everyone is. I am a single mum of two so I am so worried about going out etc.

I'm a front line carer for people with dementia, I am currently off work as I have a nasty bout of pleurisy, I'm on my 3rd lot of antibiotics I also had a course of steroids which hasnt shifted it.i am asthmatic I take ventolin and a steroid inhaler.

My infections are 8 weekly and I take my ventolin between 5-8 times a day so there is no control in my asthma. I am feeling very frustrated and frankly lost (emotional) at what to do next.

Doctor has prescribed ventolin and steroid inhalers which I have been on for three days now plus antibiotics but only seen a slight improvement in my breathlessness. Does it normally take longer than this to see an improvement?

Fairly well controlled now unless I forget to take my medication which is , theophylline tablets 500mg per day, Ventolin 100 micrograms and Sirdupla 25mg/125mg inhaler. Dont now how vunerable I am, as ive not had a letter

My seretide and ventolin inhaler aren't suppressing my symptoms as it will on a normal day. I can't go out as a result of covid 19, does anyone else knows what can suppress it? I am based in Nigeria

I have asthma and take Fostair 100/6 two puffs twice a day, ventolin as needed and montelukast at night. Is this classed as being vulnerable and having to stay in for the 12 weeks.

After my teens my asthma seemed to have disappeared I don't remember having a problem for many years, how ever I'm 26 and last December I've started again with the shortness of breath and my GP gave Ventolin and a brown Preventer inhaler.

So I went back to GP end of Feb and was moved onto Relvar and swapped from Bricanyl to ventolin/salamol. Start of April my asthma’s got really bad and has been completely uncontrolled since. Due to COVID fears I spent 4 days in bed on nebs when I probably should have gone to a&e.

Paramedics three nights in a row back mid March then as couldn’t breath, tight chest, tight body, asthma symptoms (I get it mildly - peak flow was a little lower but not much - used my Ventolin a few times). I was also slightly warm 37.7.

I received a prescription for a nasal spray (Mometasone Furoate,) take Ventolin when needed(,although it doesn't help for my problem,,) and Clenil 2hubs 2 a day.

This last one has almost cleared up but let me with a breathless feeling most of the time, peak flow normal & not improved with ventolin & dont feel wheezy has anyone else had this reaction from a virus? Many thanks

HOWEVER I have just spoken with the Asthma nurse at my GP and she said evidence suggests that unless the blue ventolin inhaler is required 3 or more times a week the steroid one isn’t necessary - even now.
