Been put on trimbow
So far the dry mouth is manageable and the peak flow is stabilising, but I've needed two puffs of
ventolin
this morning and had to cut my workout short. This may not be down to the change as my lungs have been iffy for a few weeks due to pollen.

GP restricting number of blue inhalers
I found that i have been struggling taking the powder inhaler and that, in an emergency, tried my daughter’s blue
Ventolin
inhaler and it worked much better. So, explaining this to my asthma nurse, she trialled me on a puffer inhaler, Soprobec, for my preventer and Salomol blue inhaler.

Tight chest/ache but peak flow about the same
She has taken her
ventolin
to see if this helps, which it does a little. I ask her to do a peak flow before but again this is where we would normally expect to see it. There is no wheeze just this constant ache / tight chest.

Prednisolone.. ventolin with symbicort.
My condition has worsen over the last few years and I for some time been taking
Ventolin
10 or so minutes before taking Symbicort, l believe it helps open the lungs so the Symbiort works better.

Queries as newly diagnosed
I'm having real difficulties, despite being prescribed Salamol (which I'm not sure is working as well as the
ventolin
) and a preventer (fine). Because I generally feel pretty long Covidy, I'm not sure what to expect with asthma.

Puzzled by a past asthma attack experience
Unfortunately once the taxi reached the open countryside I started to feel tight chested again and took some more
ventolin
which didn't work, took 10 puffs and no joy.

After seeing new Consultant last week
Can still use my
Ventolin
as needed, & she was happy to leave me on Fexofenadine 180 and my Montelukast. We need ENT to get me in soon to explore the very bad sinus issues.

What to do after prednisolone rescue ended?
Story: I’m maintained on 1 or 2 puffs once a day of Alvesco 80, PF max 380 and very occasional use of
Ventolin
. I caught a cold virus about 12 days ago and despite maxing my Alvesco to 8 puffs a day and
Ventolin
8 puffs my PF dropped to 290.

Re ventolin
High fox brush, I am sorry but I don't use
ventolin
, due it causing horrendous palpitations. I am on symbicort and have been for many years.

5mg ventolin nebules
Sadly GSK have ceased to manufacture the 5mg
ventolin
nebules. Are there any other severe brittle and unstable asthmatics out there that feel their asthma is no longer under control.

ventolin cut backs
I was very shocked to hear doctors are restricting
ventolin
( salbutamol) to some patients, at the end of the day if you have an attack
ventolin
can save people, it’s easy to say you should be ok having your preventative meds so you wont need much reliever but that wont keep you alive when you need

hi I’m new to this group but after reading some of your posts concerning the removal of
ventolin
inhalers and replacing it with cfc free inhalers. I too have noticed a significant change in my condition I’m more breathless wheezing more and my chest is very tight.

Ventolin now being replaced
My asthma nurse has replaced my usual
Ventolin
(full-size) prescription with the new CFC free smaller salbutamol inhaler. Maybe it’s me, but it certainly doesn’t feel as effective and it may be coincidence but my voice is getting more and more croaky. Anyone else experiencing the same?
