Maximum fostair dosage and a smart plan
I had 2 acute events last year(I don't know if I had covid) and I have daily wheezing having to use my
Ventolin
now daily. The suggestion is that I reduce to a 100mg fostair inhaler 2 puffs b.d. taking this inhaler for my exacerpations through the day up to a total of 800mg.

Do you think it would be possible to switch from a normal ventolin inhaler to an Easi-Breathe by IVAX?
When i’m breathless I struggle with the mechanics of timing the normal spray
ventolin
. Do u recon they’d allow me to try the one which it’s pressured release ie the ivax easi-breathe?

Do I need to restart prednisolone after a few episodes of breathlessness?
I found that I needed
ventolin
once a day for the first few days after, then was fine with breathing for the next 8 days without any
ventolin
, just still had a cough.

Told no more asthma
I was asked to keep a log of my readings and
ventolin
usage. Recently the asthma nurse has told me she thinks that I don't have asthma and is going to review with the doctor to see if treatment should be stopped.

Really Struggling with Fostair
It started relatively mild, I was prescribed a
Ventolin
blue reliever and a brown, steroid inhaler (Soprobec) which I took every day with a spacer. My symptoms seemed very manageable and I only had a minor flare up when I had a cold.

Should I reduce or stop my running? - low peak flow and low oximetry readings recently & after running
However, my peak flow has dropped and I've been taking more
ventolin
and more becotide inhalors. I'm male 5'7'' 44yo and my good peak flow is about 450 but the best I've blown in the last year is about 430. Good for me is blowing consistently over 400 and not using my
ventolin
at all.

Update and What have people been told about having Covid jab while taking prednisolone?
🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I’ve been trying to manage SoB using
ventolin
(as well as usual meds) over the last couple of days, but it’s not lasting 4 hours. I’ve had to admit defeat and start taking pred again even though it’s only 3 weeks since I finished the last lot! Rant finished, sorry.

Help with night wheeze and cough please
I'm propped up as best I can and using my
ventolin
hourly. I should also mention I'm 36 weeks pregnant. I need help to breath at night and sleep to help me recover.

Anybody suffers from seasonal asthma and use inhaler on demand?
Previously was on becotide twice a day and
ventolin
as required. I usually stopped taking them before summer and start again beginning of autumn. My mum told me this combi should be taken all year round and not on demand.

COPD medication
He has 2 inhalers (
ventolin
. & a once a day bronchial inhaler) They don’t seem to be doing any good. He can just about walk 10 steps before he so short of breath he’s almost collapsed on us. Does anyone recommend anything else? Steroids & nebuliser? Our Doc seems totally uninterested.

Taking ventolin through a spacer
Hi, Has anyone else experienced dizziness when taking
ventolin
through a spacer? I get a bit dizzy when inhaling just
ventolin
, (none of the other’s) slowly through the spacer and then holding my breath. Does anyone else have this or know why?

Anyone have experience with symbicort? Being swapped to it as apparently they are trying to reduce salbutamol use?
I'm currently on Fostair 1 puff twice a day and
ventolin
but she said with current guidelines they are trying to reduce the amount of salbutamol use as its better to have more inhaled steroids for asthma control? I thought salbutamol was less damaging to the body long term than inhaling steroids?

Reliever Inhalers?
It feels like the wheezing gets a little better but never goes away, and I can’t tell if it’s just due to me not using it right, or it’s actually not working :( I’m using the
Ventolin
one, does anyone have any experience with this also? It’s been making me pretty anxious.

Immunological Markers
I am managing to reduce the pred by using lots more
ventolin
and I'm not spiralling down into the red zone but I am now symptomatic and needing
ventolin
most days. I have a GP appointment tomorrow to discuss but would appreciate any insight on the immunological marker statement above. Thanks!
