Running with asthma
I’ve been on Fostair for a couple of years but don’t seem to be getting any benefit from it and still feel like I need my
ventolin
before exercise. Has anyone swapped to seretide and seen an improvement?

Is it really asthma? Can’t stop coughing
I’m on
ventolin
and clenil inhalers, omeprazole (in case it’s acid reflux) and the latest montelukast 10mg. I’m taking my hay fever medication fenofexadine 180mg and mometasone nasal spray. I also take Vit D 3000iu when I remember. The thing is though I’m still coughing morning, noon and night.

Significant reduction in Ventolin inhaler use after Astra Zenica Covid vaccination.
I still take my preventer once in the morning, once at night and nothing else has changed in my lifestyle but my
Ventolin
reliance just went away the day after my vaccination.

Asthma or COPD or something else?
I have been monitoring and
ventolin
does make a difference? So i have an appointment come through finally for a full lung function Pulmonary Test ... is there anything specific I should ask for to find out further info? Could this all be actually anxiety related...

I had been on a QVAR inhaler for a few years and always carry my
Ventolin
, I had been using my
Ventolin
more and more over past weeks, up to 10 times in one day. The GP changed my preventor inhaler to a Symbicote. To be honest, I have not seen much improvement since.

New Chest Problems - Decades of Asthma
I do get breathless at times So here I am with the same problem and overdoing it on
Ventolin
and taking Trelegy Ellipta (once a day) and a Loratadine. The phlegm and pain in the left side is the part that is concerning me.... The professionals have said I'm OK. Any knowledge is most welcome.

Starting to feel much better (long post sorry)
I ended up having about 12 puffs of
ventolin
in total (unusual for me) over the afternoon into the evening. After 2 puffs it would be a little better then get worse again, finally after the last lot the squeezing eased up and I could finally breathe.

Desperate and worried
No Pred; no
Ventolin
. Just controllers Symbicort, montelukast etc. So grateful. Fast forward Dec. 26, 2021. Small cold and now I'm incapacitated. Taking Symbicort, montelukast, QVAR,
Ventolin
a lot, Pred daily for 3 months already - got as low as 9mg/day and now back to 15mg.

Sob symptoms after 5days of prednisolone and currently stepping down
I also woke in the night with a cough and had to take
ventolin
(I don’t generally have night time symptoms). Should I just continue with the treatment and hope at some point either the pred or the Spiriva will work or should I take
ventolin
every 4 hrs to tide me over until I start to improve?

Advice on power breathe and flutter.
I’ve COPD and take Braltus and
ventolin
if needed. Does any one have knowledge of Powerbreathe and Flutter devices, please? I’d really like to do more for my health and feel less constricted with breathing. With many thanks. xx🤗

Don't want to waste nhs time but..........
I am now OK after
ventolin
kicking in and rest, not 100% so having a flare up but certainly no immediate danger. Do people think it would be really wrong of me if I turned my phone off tonight in case they phone at midnight or something?

Action plan conundrum
I am glad, but concerned they have put Fostair as my ‘instant’ reliever as well rather than
Ventolin
. With symbicort, though good over a day, I did not find it instantly relieved, and so I haven’t turned to Fostair for that. Is it as fast as
Ventolin
for relief?
