PSST and Ventolin
I suffer from PSVT. A fast heart rate for which I take beta blockers. I am also asthmatic. When I have to use Ventolin I find this interfere with my heart rhythm. When I mentioned this to my doctor they said that I would have to be using Ventolin a lot to do this. Just wondered what your thoughts

Asthma Attack 'n' Back (to A&E)
Had hockey trials tonight so I was grafting hard at the ice rink this evening. I was worried -- without good reason -- that by telling the coaches that I have moderate-severe asthma I would look like I'm making excuses (I'm not that great at ice hockey) so I said nothing and pushed. I used my inhaler

Should I wait or see Gp now?
I have got a cold and since this started my peak flow has dropped to around 70%. I have occasionally got a tight chest but ventolin helps relieve it. Should I wait an see how it goes, or given it takes forever to see the Gp, book something in just incase it gets worse?

Question to help a friend.
Hello everyone with COPD Had a message from a friend living in Gosport today saying her COPD was playing up - they have told her she has the lungs of a 90 year old. She only has a ventolin inhaler - I told her she could up the dose of that if necessary but she does not have a preventative inhaler.

I need some advice from people using home nebulisers
Hey, Just wondering if anyone has nebulisers at home? Have they helped you? I've always been under the impression that Drs don't like home nebulisers for asthmatics as if your bad enough to need nebulisers you should be seeking medical attention anyway. However in the last few months my asthma has

I haven't said much about my illness on this site, as I was given the impression by my GP that along with Asthma I have Moderate COPD ( Fev 54% ) Given Symbicort, Spiriva, to go with my Ventolin, and to go home and get on with it as there is nothing more he can do for me, ( I think he was playing a good

Just a rant really!
Just need a rant really - I am currently really struggling as my asthma (allergy/hayfever triggered) has come back after stopping breastfeeding my third little monkey. I have gone from normal running around with no symptoms, minimal meds and a peak flow of 400 to spending 3 weeks with a peak flow of

Has Anyone used or got a Salt Lamp
I purchased a salt lamp two weeks ago after doing a bit of research into them on the internet and finding that a lot of people with respiratory problems got some relief from them, also the fact that I use a pc for 8 hours a day too it states that the lamp helps to remove the positive ions from the air

Spiriva
Is anyone else using Spiriva? My GP put me Breo Ellipta, but took me off cause it was trying my throat really bad. She then put me on Spiriva Handihaler. Anyone have side effects from this? I also us Ventolin (MDI) which I'm not liking cause I think it needs a spacer.
