Well it's a year since that terrible chest infection cleared up and 14 months since diagnosis of COPD ( CT Showed significant emphysema) Dr reckoned chronic bronchitis as well. I've been taking Seebri and Carbosisteine and ventolin which I rarely use. I'm feeling great and no mucus or cough. I can

Newbie struggling
Hi, I'm new and, as the title suggests, struggling. I first remember experiencing breathlessness as a late teen and it has gradually gotten worse over the years. I would get a right chest and struggle to get deep breaths but no coughing or wheezing. I was first diadiagnosed 3 years ago after a particularly

Asthma flare up, meds and what next?
Hey guys and gals. For the last 4 weeks my asthma has been off due to pollens and weather. I had my Clenil inhaler upped to start with. Last week I started coughing stuff up and was put on anti-biotics, I just ended up feeling the same or worse. Phlegm did not clear, coughing still the same. I have

Is it just me? Asthma and anxiety
It may be that my GP and a&e are fed up with me or that (as I suspect) one particular cons has had a negative impact on my treatment but I am fed up with not being taken seriously for my now almost official 'difficult asthma.' I've had a fairly good run recently asthma wise (after last year's admissions

Question about exercise
Hi and very kind wishes to everybody. I'm new here, and glad I found you! I was diagnosed with COPD two years ago, although looking back, I've had it for much longer. I was about to shut down my life, but reading your posts gives me new hope! I know that exercise is the single most important thing,

Hi Helanin12. I just wanted to say I am following your advice and taking VitaminA 5000iu and VitaminB 5000iu twice a day. Crackling and squeaking noises when breathing out, while laid down
Hi I wonder if somebody could help me with this. A few months ago when I went to bed as I was breathing out my throat seemed to be making a sound like 'popping candy', then soon after high pitched squeaking. A couple of weeks later I went to the doctors thinking I had a chest infection and was told

Going round in circles
Hi there. I've been back and forth to go since December with repeated exacerbation so. On prednisilone every four or five weeks. Go said I need to see asthma nurse, but saying its best to wait till I've been of steroids for six weeks. Clearly that hasn't happened. Anyhow, long story short, finally

What to do about hayfever
I was diagnosed with asthma 3 years ago (aged 20), and now I seem to be developing hayfever too. I've never had hayfever before until last summer I started getting watery eyes and nasal issues (alternating between runny nose usually when I went outdoors and blocked up when I was inside). It wasn't awful
