Impressive GP Practice Response to change in my breathing
When I first wrote on here I had attended my first annual asthma check up since being diagnosed 6 years ago with late onset asthma. A week ago, despite increasing the doseage of my turbohaler and using ventolin I had developed a wheeze I could hear and was getting out of breath when walking on the flat

Every time when on antibiotics I get this strange asthma type reaction which doesn't respond to usual asthma treatment like

Incence
This morning I could feel something immediately affecting my breathing when I stepped into my yoga class. For safety's sake I used some ventolin (doesn't happen much), and after I asked and it turned out the teacher had used some incence 2 hours before I got there. I couldn't smell anything. After I

Tried a 4k run today.....
.....but my breathing was all over the place. Started out well, trying a different start to my route so I went round in a big circle (with no short cuts, so I could have to do 5k including warm up and cool down walks!). Felt quite brave - running along a main road!! (usually stick to the estate or park

Spray or Nebulizer
Hi, I'm Barbara, aged 74, recently had a really bad chest infection plus asthma attack. Already have COPD. At hospital they thought maybe I should have a nebulizer, my own doctor thought a spacer plus a Ventolin spray. Very breathless, just wonder which would be better?

New to COPD
I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help me with? 1) At what stage you were referred out to a pulmonoligist? 2) Does anyone else have a ulcer with this? I'm not sure if it's normal or not? 3) can you feel this in your lungs or is it just a feeling of breathlessness? 4) did you ever have swelling

What to expect?
Hi all, new to the site and need some advice. I had asthma as a child, mainly brought on by hayfever, but grew out of it...until now at the age of 41. I had a bad chest infection last year, after which i was diagnosed with asthma. Ventolin on its own didn't help. Tried brown and green inhalers to no

Health insurance not covering medication.
Good Morning... I live in the US Illinois. I just switched health insurance. Upon a phone conversation with them about my medications I found out that 2 of my rescue inhalers are no longer covered ( Ventolin and Pro Ventolin ) very irritating !! Is anyone else having this problem ? What other inhalers

Hi all, I started with the flu 3 weeks ago. Doctor gave me steroids in the second week as I was still coughing. last week she gave me antibiotics as she heard "crackling" on my lungs. The last few days I have found swallowing difficult because of a really sore and inflamed throat. I was diagnosed with

I Seem To Have 90% Cured Myself After Having Asthma/Eczema From Birth 47yrs Ago. The last 10% I think Is In My Mind.
It's my first post and I don't write here lightly, I have been pondering posting for some time but wanted to see if what was happening to me was was not a short term effect. I do not want to create false hope, I am certainly no medical professional and you should read what I write only as purely my own

Confused
Would being sick and having a sinus infection affect results if a pulmonary function test? I have suffered from asthma since childhood which has been poorly managed with no medications for a very long time and never increasing them once I was out on them. I had my first test last week as for 2 years

Nebulisers
I am currently struggling with a nasty pneumonia in hospital and was distressed to find that I had another bad reaction to nebulisers. Just simple saline the other night and ventolin plus a Similar one to my tiotropium inhaler today. Renders me terrible breathless and wheezy and drives doctors mad!
