Just curious
Whenever I use either my Symbicort or Spiriva inhalers, I cough when I'm done. Not a prolonged cough but a few good coughs, then I'm done. Sometimes I have to blow my nose as well. Occasionally, I even cough before I've held my breath for the requisite 10 seconds, and spit everything out. My guess is

Asthma flare up
Hi, new to this - but help appreciated. I’ve had asthma since I was 7 (now 32), it’s always been well controlled and I’d never had an attack. Last week I started to become wheezy, saw asthma nurse, told had slight bronchitis and told to up preventer (Sirdupla) and given spacer. Within 2 days ended up

Stopped meds experiment
Without any reason, really, I stopped using Symbicort a few weeks ago and I could not tell any difference in my breathing. I continued to use Spiriva Respimat as prescribe and once in a while Ventolin. Then, 3 days ago I stopped using the Spiriva, too. And I feel OK. Believe me, I know COPD is a crazy

Costochondritis symptoms...
I've just been diagnosed with costochondritis. My chest is painful and sore after a 3 month (on and off) exacerbation. I find that movement triggers it and I sometimes I get a little breathless. I've been walking around today and felt like I had been winded in my chest. Does anyone else experience these

Scary Frog
Having had COPD for the last 13/14 years I really thought I had dealt with most situations. So tonight I'm just sitting in my usual spot watching tv breathing as usual for me. Suddenly a nasty frog jumped into my windpipe and tried to choke me. No warning. In fact I've been feeling pretty good for the

I am new here and have recently been diagnosed with a 'moderate restrictive ventilatory defect' after having lung function tests. My GP referred me to an outpatient lung clinic and I just got a letter saying the wait time is up to 12 months. I am due to see my GP in the next week, but my question is

Was this a sudden asthma attack?
I wonder if I had a sudden, out of the blue asthma attack this evening? Does it sound like it? And if it was should I see someone later, though it all got better fairly straightforwardly and quickly? Normally I only have bad flares with colds etc, and then it slides into it over a day or a few days.

Concerned if Getting Right Treatment
Hi Everyone, I hope you can help... A month ago my blood tests came back as being low in Vitamin D, B12 (borderline low but out of range) and low folate. My liver results were also all over the place but I have Hemochromatosis (Iron overload) so it's difficult to know what's causing what. Hopefully

Trimbow
Has anybody experience of Trimbow which my Copd nurse has given me in place of Fostair and Spiriva which no longer seem to help. I’m starting this new medication tomorrow. I’m having to use my Ventolin 10-12 times a day so I’m hoping Trimbow will suit me. Dorothy

What should i ask my asthma nurse tomorrow?
Hi all. Sorry a slightly long post to follow. For those who haven't seen previous posts i had an asthma flare up in mid December. No cold or flu symptoms. Just shortness of breath constantly with little relief from ventolin. I've had asthma since birth but had no major flare ups since i was a child.

MY JOURNEY WITH COPD.
You CAN feel better with COPD. I suffered with Bronchitis from a very young age and over the years it got worse. The fact I smoked obviously made it worse but did I stop? No, of course not, I just had a weak chest. Fast forward to 2008 we were on a road trip in America with 4 friends and one by one

A great hospital experience (if such a thing exists 😅)
Hi everyone Having had some truely terrible hospital experiences (and posted them on here), I thought I’d post about my most recent trip, which was about 90% positive ☺️ I’d been twitchy since last Saturday (ended up not being able to get out of bed without needing to nebulise/ventolin) due to a 7hr

Anyone had their Clenil dose increased?
Hi! I currently take Clenil 100mcg 2 puffs twice a day, after being diagnosed with asthma. I came off it after hay fever season ended, and all was perfect until I came down with a cold 6/7 weeks later so was back on it and needed steroids... I now have another cold for the last week (perks of working
