Scary Frog

Having had COPD for the last 13/14 years I really thought I had dealt with most situations. So tonight I'm just sitting in my usual spot watching tv breathing as usual for me. Suddenly a nasty frog jumped into my windpipe and tried to choke me. No warning. In fact I've been feeling pretty good for the last week. A membrane blocking my airway which I couldn't cough up. Luckily my son was here and patted me and sorted my ventolin inhaler which I couldn't shake. After a couple more squirts and some more patting the nasty frog has left me. 5 minutes on my aerosure has made me feel better. My son suggested a nebuliser which is great relief but I try to keep them for when I'm really ill. So glad I wasn't on my own. Very scary. I now know that if you can't shake just squirt and inhale as much as you can. Sorry all just needed to vent.

Keep well

Patsy

It is scary when that happens, glad your son was there. Hope you are better now. Ventolin helps so much it can take a few squirts to get you breathing better again. Xx😊

Thank you and everyone else for the good wishes. It was very scary and luckily I was not alone. Within 30 minutes I was back to my normal self as if nothing had happened. I think what made it worse was that I had been in the same situation years ago when I was alone and a Newby and somehow managed. Being an old hand I was totally caught out. I thought that I had it all under control. Just shows how things can catch you out. Surprise surprise 😲😁🙂👍
