Cabazitaxel for dad
Hello all, looking for a bit of advice. My dad’s had 4 sessions of Radium 223 but is feeling generally tired, low energy and is losing weight and new small spots have appeared on a scan. Doc has now suggested no more Radium and trying Cabazitaxel now. He had enzalutamide but this stopped working too.

Atrovastatin, amilodipine and supplemental calcium
Can amilodipine be taken whilst on atrovastatin? If a person developed severe back pain while taking 20mg po atrovastatin, should a calcium supplement be also taken?Would back pain go away if atrovastatin dose was decreased to 10mg per day? Should I increase my treadmill use to at least 3 times per

Mild Heart decease
Hi All By chance I have found out I have mild Heart decease , 65 calcium score , but my cardiologist says the blockage in my LAD is too small to give a percentage, therefore is a calcium score not necessarily related to the blockage amount, I have not had a heart attack , passed all the running test

Pressure from dr to go on meds. DEXA worse every time. Severe osteoporosis on every measure. Drug side effects or risk of fractures? Arrgh!
I’m thin, Caucasian, post menopausal, mother has osteoporosis - perfect storm. In 2009 I had a normal DEXA scan. 2018 full blown osteoporosis in femur neck and spine. In 2020 osteoporosis in hip as well. Now the numbers just keep getting worse -4.1 on one of the scores. I wanted to do diet and exercise

How do I know if I have too much or too little stomach acid?
Not strictly speaking a thyroid issue but one I know effects a lot of us. So I’m hoping for some expertise. I definitely have some sort of stomach acid issue but without going down the medical investigation route which I really don’t want to do, how do I know of my acid is too high or too low? My

Bone Marrow and blood cells
My husband has been in the hospital for a week. He had been struggling to eat and drink due to nausea. His oncologist had him come in and they gave him a liter of saline and sent him home. We are rural and live an hour from the oncologist and any hospitals. When we got home that evening, it took him

First Endo visit.... it went well 🙌
I actually got to see the requested Endo (from the list 😉) Happy to report back that I had a good experience 💃 even though I was like a rabbit in the headlights with stage fright! 😳 No telling off for self-medicating T3, happy with levels other than borderline TSH so wanting me to slightly reduce

Further advice please
As mentioned in an earlier post, I will be entering into deliberations this coming week with my oncologist and our Nuclear Medicine Team to determine my next therapy steps. As previously noted, I am currently on Cabazitaxel which is suspected to be failing due to rising PSA after three cycles. Options

Advice Please
Currently assessing efficacy of Cabazitaxel and possible next steps. Future options could include, Radium 223, Pluvicto, other. Also, Dr has put Carbolatin on the table as a “stand alone” therapy i.e., not combined with Cabazitaxel. My question: Does anyone have experience/advice with respect to

Calcium absorption blockers
I was trying to add calcium to my diet, and came across a website that said certain foods block calcium absorption. When I saw that, I tried to find other websites that said the same thing, but I was hoping I wouldn't find that. Unfortunately, I did find quite a few websites that say spinach, beans

Let's Talk Kidney Issues
I had a stone removed from my right ureter 2 years ago; the preceding and subsequent CT scans showed stones in both kidneys. 6 months ago I went in for a follow up CT and found a stone completely blocking the left ureter (no pain). Surgeon removed the stone it but the kidney is only functioning at 18%
