Can amilodipine be taken whilst on atrovastatin? If a person developed severe back pain while taking 20mg po atrovastatin, should a calcium supplement be also taken?Would back pain go away if atrovastatin dose was decreased to 10mg per day?

Should I increase my treadmill use to at least 3 times per week?

I respectfully suggest that this is more a question for your consultant/GP or pharmacist.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I got bad shoulder pain with Simvastatin but it disappeared with Atorvastatin, and I know people where the reverse was true and this may apply to you. You need to speak to your GP as Yogi1950s suggests.

You should only take calcium supplements under medical guidance! Your bio says nothing but if you have narrowed/calcified arteries logic says this might not be an appropriate move.

It seems to me you need to discuss all of this with your GP. If for instance it is lower back pain exercises to improve your core strength might be more appropriate!
