I went to the doctors a few days ago and explained my symptoms mainly bloating, burping and a sensation between my belly button and sternum not so much a pain just a sensation and he said I had a stomach ulcer without even testing ? I had a barium swallow a few years ago and it showed no signs of any reflux I don’t get heartburn I got diagnosed with IBS 18 years ago but don’t really suffer with my bowels much I had an hpylori stool test a few years ago which was also negative so I’m not sure what to do

I suppose you could start taking something gentle which is supposed to be healing for stomach inflammation, ulcers etc, and see if that makes you feel better at all?
You could try Slippery Elm? It is a gentle safe herb and shouldn't do any harm at all. But ask your doctor first maybe. The only problem with it is that it isn't very palatable, and a "tea" (or "gruel" made with slippery elm is supposed to be more effective than taking tablets of it.
LEENOL48, research zinc sulphate effects on stomach and gastric ulcers. Also search on "IBS thiamine" for possible relief for the symptoms you mentioned. Magnesium is needed to activate thiamine. Always consult your health care professional before using any supplement.
Have they ruled out a hiatus hernia?
