Am looking for some advice please if anyone could help me. My nephew needs to get his mmr jag this week and if it’s a live vaccine it says on the leaflet that I can’t be near him for 6 weeks because am on methotrexate. It’s also difficult as I watch him to allow my bother and sister in law to work. Has

Not a bird
Just for a change, I could not resist making this photo available. Not sure whather she wants a bath or finds the sink a cool place to be in this weather. She is one of our five kittens, still for sale. One of her brothers in going to UK in September and we have space in the car for another. All fully

Asthma Conundrum!
Having had several years of almost no asthma at all, it's decided to make a re appearance since I moved into a new address. The issue I am having is mainly with the preventor (Clenil Modulite) not controlling the almost constant symptoms. Another issue I am having with this is this inhaler is like

Spring covid booster
https://www.england.nhs.uk/long-read/preparing-for-a-successful-spring-2023-covid-19-booster-campaign/ Apparently there is to be a Spring
vaccination
programme. This was mentioned in January but since then I’ve seen nothing about it. Anyone 75 & over or living in a care home is included.

Covid, meds do they help?
I have CKD stage 3a, I just got covid. I was thinking about calling my doctor tomorrow to see if I need meds to help. I have body aches, headache, and sore throat. I was vaccinated in Nov. Not sure if it’s worth it to take meds and if it hurts the kidneys..could you share your experiences?

switch to Anagrelide..anything I should know ?
Hi, I have finally managed to persuade the haematologist to let me switch from HU …( which I have been taking for almost 20 years , for primary MF ) to Anagrelide…in the hope that some of my symptoms of bone pain, GI issues, wipeout fatigue & hair thinning may improve ..although he doesn’t think any

An extended interval between vaccination and infection enhances hybrid immunity against SARS-CoV-2 variants
These results indicate that anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody responses undergo continual maturation following primary exposure by either
vaccination
or infection for at least 400 days after last antigen exposure.

MTX and Covid Vaccine
A friend recently told me that he was advised to stop his MTX for a week before
vaccination
but this is news to me. In the event that the immunocompromised community will be offered another spring booster (hopefully!)

COVID
Am fully vaccinated for COVID. Had close contact with two people who had positive COVID self tests. Determined self testing if positive is reliable. Was not feeling unwell to a degree could not be attributed to 'B12'. Sent a clear informed message to my GP in the morning which is yet to be answered

Input from others
Good Morning, it has been suggested to me that the Covid-19 vaccine might have caused my heart failure. I had not considered this myself but there seems to be some challenge put to the government about current excess death rate, particularly heart failure. There’s not an adequate response and it

Change in antiviral provision
I assume all those in the Uk classified as extremely vulnerable have received as I did a mail informing them that the provision of antivirals is changing in that one now must contact GP, 111, or hospital if testing positive for Covid. Any thoughts on this? Having avoided infection so far and having

Safe travel
Apologies if this is not directly relevant. I know there are a few members from New Zealand on the forum so hoping I can pick your brains! I’m travelling next February to New Zealand to visit my son in Auckland and travel around the country. This will be my second trip but this time I’m also keen to

7 Covid vaccinations
Hello, I just can’t get over it that some of you had 7 COVID vaccinations! I know only about the first 2 and then 2 (maybe 3) boosters = 5 vaccines. Where are the other 2 are coming from? Or is this only in the UK? Just wondering because even my oncologist seemed to be surprised he only told me there
