Further COVID boosters

Shingles vaccine
My husband has been called in for a shingles
vaccination
. Am i correct that he should ask for a non live vaccine as the love vaccine poses a risk to me as I am immune suppressed? I seem to remember hearing this somewhere. Still struggling to get answer fro my nurse advice line. Thanks

Surgery and PMR?
How important is the fact that you have PMR relevant to hospital treatment and surgery? I am on a low dose of Prednisolone and recently had abdominal surgery. According to my GP’s surgery notes I don’t have PMR at all but it has been recorded on the NHS database and I get extra Covid vaccinations.

Vaccination under Acalabrutinib?
I read that vaccinations under a therapy with Acalabrutinib (Calquence) do not work well. How do you do it with booster vaccinations for COVID, for example? Will the drug then be paused? Thank you for answering!

Rituximab timing of Covid2 vaccination
This might interest those on Rtx who are due a Covid
vaccination
……medwireNews: Findings from two studies suggest that among rituximab-treated patients, those with a longer time since their last infusion may be more likely to have an antibody response to vaccines against SARS-CoV-2.

It is sausage time again!! Yes you can walk to butchers and buy some, but TailChaser, Katnapand I prefer to work a bit harder for ours. A 10k run including a big stinky hill is a challenge, but for the Kats, doing it just one week after running a marathon, it was tougher than usual. I had covid

Staying away from those live vaccinated
Can someone please tell me how long a kidney transplanted patient has to stay away from a baby that has had live vaccinations? Believe it or not, I can't find this. I has asked Transplant and they referred me to the answer a pharmacist gave which was"usually one week." Just didn't sound definite to

Winter Vaccinations
Hi fellow Afib’er. Been offered the winter vaccinations on the 24th Oct. I had cyroablation on the 15th Sep. What’s everyone thought on getting these injections. Should I go for it while still in the blanking period or is it too soon. Thanks for any opinions.
