Does anyone know what is considered VERY HIGH regards levels of ALT and ALP?
Since PBC diagnose in Dec 2010 mine have gone down due to
urso
with last mth's blood repeats coming in at ALT of 2 times higher what is considered the normal range and ALP at 3 times higher than normal ranges.

What is the brand name of your URSO if you had the itch upon starting and how is your prescription for it written.
Some nights I do get a respite from the itch but know some of you out there the itch stopped on using
URSO
so I wondered if it could perhaps be down to different brand names.

Am I the only one not taking URSO with a PBC diagnosis?
At the follow up appointment I asked the consultant about
URSO
. He skillfully evaded answering and I left the appointment more frustrated with myself for not getting an answer and none the wiser as to whether I should be on this drug.

Appointment with liver specialist
(Was he looking for it I think ) your bloods have improved since last time since taking
urso
but I would like to increase your dosage. Question: What happens now ? Reply: I will make a follow up appointment for 6- 8 months. I will also request an appointment for you to have a bone density scan.

advanced stage, what does that mean for me?
I was seen at clinic yesterday and told that I have "quite advanced Pbc" with obvious cirrhosis.
urso
has been doubled and am to have 6 monthly scans and regular blood work. i feel a bit shell shocked as at 38 I had thought it wouldnt be until a little later that I would need to discuss transplant issues

Anxious about pbc
I have been taking
urso
twice a day and my lft's are improving. I also have a heitus hernia which seems to be common with pbc. I get tired easily at times and struggle to get going in the morning, but i have a toddler that keeps me very busy and work part time.
