Depression, not overwhelming, the looming thoughts. Is this making my fatigue worse?
I have been on
Urso
now for a month now and have been paying more attention to the posts about those that the meds didn't work for. I am a person of faith, and I definitely rely on God for my dailing strength and mental optimism.

Have any of you figured out how to keep the nauseous/bloating feeling away that Urso creates? Do certain foods make you feel worse?

I have been on
Urso
18 months. For the first time, my results have lots of things elevated, OTHER than ALP.

Ignorance is bliss
Has anyone else read the article in the Sunday Mail this weekend about how
Urso
....... Is extracted from brown bears in China under very cruel and inhumane conditions. I wish I hadn't seen it because now I feel I should stop taking these pills. I'd like to know what everyone else thinks?

My PBC story...
I am 45 years old and I was diagnosed with PBC about 5 weeks ago and am now being treated with
URSO
250 x4 tablets (taken in the AM). My symptoms for this disease go back at least 11 years when they did an emergency surgery to remove my gall bladder.

Hair loss
My hair started growing and doing well I started on
urso
a few weeks ago and the hair is coming out again. Does this ever stop or does it go in stages. Growth and loss?

Does anyone have exercise intolerance?
My numbers have improved with the
Urso
, so that part is good. I'm just afraid to exercise at all now because I work full time and am afraid I won't be able to make it in to work the next day. Having PBC itself doesn't worry me.

Loose bowels on Urso. How long does it last?
I started
URSO
on Monday ( I take 1200 mgs daily) two in the morning and two at night. I seem to have tolerated pretty well so far. I have a hiatal hernia so I was concerned with acid reflux which I already treat.

PBCers dietary advice??
Started
URSO
4 months ago, LFTS are almost in normal range.I have no symptoms. I am just wondering if a particular diet is recommended in PBC? When I have asked my registrar he just says a healthy balanced diet but hasn't been specific about anything.

Hi, I have been told that raised ALT is associated with AIH/PBC overlap and not pure PBC.Does anyone have PBC and have raised ALT? Thanks
I have been on
URSO
since jan 2014 following positive AMA and raised ALP of 135. ALT has been around 60 for a year and after 6 weeks on
URSO
came down to 40. My ALP came down to 99. 6 weeks further on ALT is now up to 50.

Greetings from the US and a relatively newly diagnosed BPC patient
I take my ursodeoxycholic acid (US - ursodiol; UK -
urso
. Except we tend to shorten it to
urso
, too). Am asymtomatic and believe I will die with the disease, not from it.
