Newly Diagnosed PBC & SS
I was dx with PCB on Christmas Eve and put on
Urso
250mg three times a day. Prediagnosed I was suffering so bad with tiredness, I mean you could count backwards from 5 and I would be asleep. I had to have naps and early nights.

LACK OF APPETITE
I take
urso
x 4 tablets per day, get fatigue, dry eyes and mouth and occasional bouts of itching but my alkaline phosphates have improved a lot since being on
URSO
. Does anyone else have lack of appetite?

Kidney issues to do with PBC?
My thyroid medication seems a bit off (I also have under active thyroid), but the liver results were fine thankfully (
Urso
keeping everything normal). However Dr also mentioned something to do with my kidneys, and I’ll have to redo blood test in a month. Has anyone else had this?

Herbal tincture and LFTs update
I’ve also just been on holiday and forgotten to take my
Urso
all week...and I’ve felt so normal. No itching, hardly any hot flushes. So I wonder if the
Urso
actually makes me feel rubbish?

Quick update on me, bloodwork
I went off ocaliva last month, staying on
urso
, at doctors suggestion. My ALP was essentially unchanged from the last test. I’m starting a fibrate this weekend, hoping I will respond to that.

Holiday stress
They say I'm responding to
URSO
and I'm grateful..believe me..I am. it's just grieving for that super girl (me) who could "make things work" and not sweat. I'm humbled.

Results!
Got my blood test results yesterday and down to 130 from 180 so over the moon that the
urso
tablets are working after 3 months. Spoke to my specialist and she is happy about the results and she is a big fan of PBC Foundation and very supportive.

Urso dose
Hi everyone ❤️❤️ My hepatologist started
urso
with 1500mg/day. I’m 55kg. Isn’t it too much for me? Does anyone else take same dosage? Thank you

Kidney pain/Kidney stones
I wasn't sure if it was PBC related or
Urso
related. It is sharp then goes away.My spouse gets frequent kidney stones so he thinks that is what it is.

Diarrhea
Diagnosed 2 years ago and on
Urso
since diagnosed with no issues. Seems everything I eat just goes right through me.... ask my doc by message and of course his nurse answered but did not seem concerned..... could this mean I am worsening? 😢

Urso and Iron
I take 500mg
urso
and a couple of iron tablets before I go to bed at night but the next day I suffer from terrible diarrhoea and stomach pain straight after breakfast. This has gone on for about 3 years and although I've mentioned it to gp nothing has been done or suggested.

Advice
Non responder to
urso
, have tried OCA but temporarily stopped due to intense itch. Since starting OCA I have had regular visits to liver nurse specialist. She tells me I now don’t need appointments with consultant as she can monitor me. Is this the norm.

MRE (Magnetic Resonance Elastography) "My Results" So much for trusting Biopsy and Ultrasound. Also... High ferritin may skew MRE score.
I still have to discuss this with my hepatologist, but, I'd say I'm a non-responder to
URSO
. We will see where I go from here. Especially since my ferritin level is so high too. 😞 Maybe OCA? I'm not sure what other choice I have. ALSO... That 3.14 kPa isn't accurate.
