Has anybody experienced kidney pain?I wasn't sure if it was PBC related or Urso related. It is sharp then goes away.My spouse gets frequent kidney stones so he thinks that is what it is.

That is probably a separate issue. I haven’t read any research linking kidney stones to pbc or urso.

You should go to the doctor & get an ultrasound on the kidney. If you have stones, they will show up.

Hello :) This is so weird because just this week I started having kidney pain so bad I can't hardly sleep! I was on here looking to see if there is anything related to PBC that could cause this and I found your post. Have you found anything out since you first posted this??

Hi, I actually just got kidney stones last week! I was looking up all kinds of information to see if PBC had anything to do with it, and I didn't find anything that said it did. The only problem I was having is the doctor I saw didn't know anything about PBC, so he was prescribing me 800 mg of ibuprofen and I told him that I'm not supposed to take that per my gastroenterologist.. he tried telling me ibuprofen is better for my liver than Tylenol. Finally he looked up PBC on his computer and saw that it says do not give aspirin or ibuprofen two patients with PBC LOL. I can't believe there are so many doctors that still don't know anything about PBC... So now I'm just dealing with the kidney stones taking Tylenol every 8 hours ☹️

How many mgs are you taking? My Hepatologist has me on 325 mgs of Tylenol due to my Endometriosis.

I was taking 1000mg Tylenol every 8 hours for the first 2 days, now I went down to 500mg when the pain isn't intolerable. I know it;s not good to take so much, but If I'm not allowed to take Ibuprofen or Aspirin, and the Urgent Care didn't prescribe any pain meds, what else am I supposed to do while I'm trying to pass kidney stones? LOL very painful : /
