Shortness of breadth
I had open heart surgery 8 years ago, I used to have AFIB but a valve replacement resolved it so far. I also have sleep apnea and use a cpap. Recently I have been getting up in the middle of the night once or twice to urinate and I am experiencing shortness of breadth. After I urinate it goes away.

Aerophagia with cpap
Hi. I have a history of swallowing air while using Cpap/Bipap machines. I had to stop for some years because the gas pains would wake me whiling sleeping. Around that time I developed an umbilical hernia and feel the aerophagia was at least partly to blame. I am now dealing with episodes of diverticulitis

Home Sleep Test results
Hi All, I recently had an overnight sleep study done checking for sleep apnea and got my results back this week. My results show I didn't meet the criteria for a sleep apnea diagnosis. Both AHI and ODI were recorded at 1.2 per hour, below the 5 required for a diagnosis. Average SP02 was 92.4%. It was

I have had 2 sleep study’s since diagnosis 10 years ago. Not just legs but lim and torso movements. First put on Ropinirole 2mg and slowly upped to 6mg then down to 4mg Used Ropinirole 4mg combined with gabapentin but made we feel very unwell and didn’t help with the rls. After another sleep study

does anyone have a CPAP ?
If you have a CPAP, how long did it take to get it? Do you like it? Has it changed how you feel? What are the drawbacks and/or benefits from it?

First night with Cpap
I recently had a sleep study and I stopped breathing 52 times in an hour during study. Last night was my first one with cpap, I did ok but struggling with dry mouth. I had to get one that covers all of nose and mouth. Just wondered if any had any suggetions to help with dry mouth? Thanks

Unstable Angina - Male 53 years old
On Easter Sunday I attended church with my wife and about midway through mass I started to get a tight sensation in the middle of my chest. At first I thought it was just a bit of nasty heartburn and waited for it to pass, but the pain got worse and started to feel like something was being forced into

Periodic episodes of fluctuating tachycardia while in AFib.
Never had any heart problems until early 2020. I'm a rather robust yet strong guy , late 40s. I suspect COVID may have had something to do with it. Never vaccinated either..went to e.r after having AFib for 16 hrs. Was blacking out at work. Thought I was going to die. Spent 2 days in hospital. Echocardiogram

struggling with CPAP
After 8 months still struggling with the CPAP. Switched to nasal mask but still waken with cough and congestion after about an hour. Humidity does help. Tried saline spray and cortisone nasal spray. Next visit is with ENT. Sleep doctor thinks I am non-compliant. I want the CPAP to work!

Increase Before Testing???
I have posted here a few times and I am grateful for the insight. Even though I have had hypothyroidism and it was treated successfully for a while, that has not been the case for about 4 years now....since NatureThroid went out of production. Without going into a lot of detail, I will recap my latest

Dr appt updates
Saw my pulmonologist on Tues. “Why haven’t you been using your Cpap?” Me: “Sometimes I feel claustrophobic and it’s hard to breathe. I also have had shortness of breath since I had Covid last June after coming home from our trip.” This led her to have me do a 6 minute walking test - my oxygen didn’t

Possible hypothyroidism, No Thyroid and on 50mg Levo since Nov 22
Hi I've recently joined and very interested to see so many interesting posts. I wanted to ask if others with no thyroid are on such a low dose of Levothyroxine. In 2014 following a thyroidectomy I was started on 150mg and have been reduced steadily down and am now on 50mg as my TSH each time reduces

Heart trouble, 32 years old.
Hi Folks, I'm 32 years old and have been going through an incredibly difficult time the last few months. It all started in September, wakening panicked, heart racing and feeling like I was going to pass out. This kick started months of torment, which with the help of therapy, I now believe was a panic

Energy and motivation hasn't really returned after Pred
Hi friends, I'm down to one mg Pred after diagnosed with PMR back in Aug 21. We killed that with 50 mgs initial dose and now I'm down at one mg per day. I take that one mg between 0700 and 0830 every morning. It's been a battle to get here and I've had some shocking episodes of desperate, crushing fatigue

Insomnia- solutions?
Many of you will know that I have been battling insomnia for quite a while. I went to a sleep clinic in August and discovered I also had sleep apnoea. I have been treated by the clinic since then with “ infallible” treatments. The problem is, I don’t think my sleep is getting any better and part of
