Cholesterol numbers
Hi All Am hoping, as raised cholesterol can be a thyroid symptom, that someone here may be able to help with this? The first set of numbers are from Feb 2018 the second from June 2018. Is that an unremarkable increase or a marked increase? As in has it crept up a little bit or way more than you would

My husband says I look like a hobbit :-) my feet are fine when I wake up but by the time I go to bed they are huge and very painful (and in bad days my ankles too). I'm

Update to my treatment & A question
Recently switched Treatment center to A small Huntsman affiliated clinic in Rexburg Idaho. The first thing they did was to order an Auxuman Scan and the results were so good they stopped my ADT2 treatments to try & help my QOL and energy level. The statement from the scan read “mildly increased metabolic

Venesection
Does anyone who suffers from bronchiectisis and mild pulmonary hypertension have to have regular venesections due to secondary polycythemia? Initially when first diagnosed with secondary polycythemia I had to have weekly then fortnightly venesections but then got less and less until I didn't need one

Relationship between serum cholesterol and Graves' orbitopathy (GO): a confirmatory study
The abstract of this paper is like many others in that it switches between "high cholesterol" and "low-density lipoprotein (LDL)-cholesterol". Well, perhaps it all makes more sense in the full paper? (Though that is behind a paywall.) Still, the simple observation of an association is interesting and

Second Recurrence now at PSA .5
RP in 2011, first recurrence and subsequent IMRT in mid 2015. Second recurrence (PSA .2) August 2017. I have not had any medication (hormones, chemo) in the 7 years I have been fighting. Learned this morning my PSA is now at .5 so I assume will be having the PSMA pet scan done at Hopkins Baltimore to

My cholesterol is 8.2
Hello everyone, this is my first post here. After getting an urgent letter to go to my docotor as soon as possible, I was told that my cholesterol level is at 8.2 and was prescribed some pills (didn't pick them up yet). I am 28 years old 174cm tall and I weigh aroun 77kgs - so yes, I am overweight. Unfortunatley

Need help with Lupron question
As some of you know I’m Gleason 3+4. Will have TURP in August and then 28 sessions of proton therapy starting in November. My close friend was diagnosed 4+3 shortly after. He’s being told by 3 oncologists (IMRT/proton) that it would be best to do 4 months of Lupron plus the radiation. Other testing
