Would Valium affect my blood test for an under or over active thyroid ?
Hi, I was prescribed Valium just to relax me for a few days but I got a test to see if I’ve an Uber or over active thyroid. I am just wonder if the Valium will affect my results. Tuesday night I took 10mg of of Valium. Then I got a blood test Thursday morning at 8.30am. Is it possible it could damage

Can anyone advise? I have been on 5mg Ramilpril for 5 weeks after initially being diagnosed with high blood pressure. The first couple of weeks it was still unstable. This week it is dropping daily and today it's 114/72 pulse 53. Being new to this, I wonder if it's too low considering l am 66? Also l

Thank you. Diabetes because of lung meds.
Thank you all so much for the response you gave me. I did not known that you could get diabetes through certain meds in particular my lung meds. They told me whilst in critical care in 2019 they were treating me with insulin because of the meds they were treating me with during my stay at CC. 1 year

Benefits whilst shielding.
Can anyone tell me how we are supposed to live with very little income. My partner has to shield due to having his transplant 2016. He started a small one man business in 2018 but had to isolate starting March 2020. Since then he has lost the business but gets no help as he wasn't trading long enough

Hi All, I have been dealing with advanced disease since 2011 and after IMRT, Seeds, HT, adopting a largely vegan diet, eating lots of medicinal mushroom supplements and having lymph node surgery done at the Mayo clinic I am doing ok. My PSA is .65 and rising and one day I will need further treatment

Very confused !
I have recently restarted the lchf diet and have been doing a lot of research during the course of which I came across a site called Healthline . In the article I was reading they were discussing why some people don’t lose weight using low - carb diets . Two of the reasons were ‘ eating too many calories

Why Reduce Salt with NAFLD?
I have had elevated liver enzymes for three tests now, and am trying to eat healthy as per the nafld diet I've seen elsewhere in this forum. My blood pressure is completely normal-- do I still have to be concerned about how much salt I eat?

What do I do?
Have just had a phone call from my health centre. The doctor is concerned about my cholesterol level. (10). This was the level I had when I was first tested on a whim whilst in holiday over 20 years ago. I watched my diet and got it down to 6 something but doctors said I should go on statins. Was given

Losartan 50mg
I have been on Losartan for quite a long time and have not had any side effects at all. My diastolic blood pressure reading is now down to 82 which I am happy with. However the systolic is mostly round about 150 high. I measure my blood pressure all the time at home as I suffer from white coat syndrome

PSA from 0.15 to 2.42 in 12 months; but no metastasis?
Asking advice and thoughts on my situation. I'm 5 years post IMRT to prostate and pelvic LN in 2015. Original PCa diagnosis in 2012 with Gleason 9 (4+5), Stage 4 ('locally advanced', no mets). Three cycles of ADT (4-6 months each) from 2012-2016. From Aug 2019 to Aug 2020 PSA went from 0.15 to 2.42.

Questions for the RO for my upcoming video conference regarding options for early salvage treatment (and ADT) after Radical Prostatectomy?
I had my radical prostatectomy (RP) on 6/3/2019. Given my pathological results (see below for details) and the definite trend in my PSA levels over the last 18 months (see graph below), my surgeon now thinks I should pursue early salvage radiation therapy and I agree, but now trying to decide on the
