Hoping I'm not alone...
I was rushed into A&E when I was away from home on a weekend trip for Easter (17/04/22) and was diagnosed with necrotizing pancreatitus. I remember being in the bed in A&E and them saying I needed to stay in a few days. Fast forward to 02 June 2022 and there I am surrounded by strangers in ICU unable

Getting grief from my employer
I have worked in a small business for 10years. I have been very open about my condition from the time I was diagnosed 7 years ago. To be fair to my employers they have beenfairly decent regarding hospital appointments etc. They still expected me to do the job and more, without making any allowances

Dialysis Centers
So because of RonZone's "blog" posts on his journey, and many others here with their stories of PD I'm more convinced that is the way I would like to go when the time comes (hopefully not anytime soon). So looking around at Dialysis Centers near me I've found there are two businesses that offer dialysis

Live donor results. How long did you wait?
My husband was tested 9 weeks ago to see if he was suitable.I asked my dialysis nurse in Tuesday if there were any updates. She sent an email to the transplant nurse asking for any information. My husband received a voicemail yesterday at work. The transplant nurse laughed as she said, she thought

UFR increase during Dialysis Treatment
Can I ask any suggestion that during my dialysis, after a while they (the nurse or technician) always increase the UFR, and I figure out will be higher than the CMS guideline 13/ml/kg/hr, sometimes even 18/ml/kg/hr. I am afraid that Myocardial stunning could be happened although my blood pressure still

Being a supportive wife?
my husband has kidney failure and is Waiting for a transplant. He’s currently on Dialysis 3 days a week. We did PD dialysis for about 4 months had some bumps on the road. But we back on Hemo. My husband has a fear of dying and sometimes he can’t shake it. To the point he just kinda bottles it all up

CLL, Diabetic, dialysis, afib
I want to ask if anyone has troubling walking all of a sudden. There are days my legs give out. Does anyone know if it’s my newly diagnosed CLL or diabetic for 30yrs or my kidneys. I am on dialysis now for 8yrs treatments three times a week. ?

Low BP
Hi. I have been dealing with low blood pressure, with the systolic pressure around 91 for over a week now. I am not particularly dizzy when getting up. I've read that it is no big deal until it drops below 90. I have had a lot going on with neck and shoulder pain for a month now and am seeing a chiropractor

Body Responses to Home Hemodialysis
What makes me so very sleepy after home hemodialysis? Why have my legs become very soft since dialysis? I can't walk.

My dialysis journey begins - PD catheter placement this morning
So my journey begins. I had surgery this morning for placement of my PD catheter. I arrived at the hospital at 5:45 after showering with antibiotic soap and donning comfy clothes. They took me right in, got the paperwork finalized, did the prep (which included shaving my entire abdomen which they had
